Ainge Nailed It

Not likely.. that is not going to stay in one spot lol.it would hit you systematically and they would be f’ed up ... more than likely some good old fashioned cortizone shots to the area is more likely.. maybe lidocaine, which would also not cause sedation
Cortisone isn’t as common as it used to be. It has some side effects with long term use.

What are you talking about? We didn’t have the ball with 7:50 left
Sorry. Talking about the last drive when they went for it and threw the short pass to the TE. A punt would have been a better play there than what they did.

You can’t punt at their 30 yard line and a missed field goal gives them even better field position.

"Stupid" is thinking it wasn't a mistake to go prevent O/D with over 7 minutes left in the game. I am betting the staff doesn't do that again until they have a D that can actually stop the opponent. What they do normally is close enough to "prevent" D to start with.

But you know your team. Your QB hasn't thrown 3 picks in his last 416 passes. The "conservative" move is to put trust in an O that is really good... not a D that's questionable.

LMFAO

Unpopular opinion, everything the coaches did at the end of the game was 100% correct. They put themselves in a scenario where the other team had to score twice with 0 timeouts and recover an onside kick.
Granted the other team almost did it, but you’re still best to always play the odds their
Completely agree. I also think some of the comments on here about medical treatments are beyond speculative and bordering on disrespectful to the people involved.

True…that’s why I was like ‘old-fashioned’.. to cut down on inflammation in a hurry though, you can’t beat it
Yep. They use it still plenty just not as much in football. Toradol has a little better pain control and doesn’t have as many troublesome side effects with repeated use.

That last play was pretty odd. I have to suspect that the TE was supposed to get to the sticks before turning out. He ran flat and didn't get the yardage.

Bru McCoy was wide open. I’m sure Fant was the first read, but if Hooker looked down field, the play call was great.

I can understand maybe criticizing the play calls, but we slowed it down to run clock, which some have asked if we could do it. We ran quite a bit of clock. It was 1st and 10 at UF 37, and Jabari gained 5 yards. UF only had one TO left.

AND THEY SHOULD HAVE EITHER CALLED A PLAY THAT GAVE HOOKER OPTIONS OR ELSE PUNTED IT.
Dude go back and watch the play. Mccoy was open 10 yards down the field and the TE decided not to run far enough.
We know that you simply don't want to blame the players executing and want to blame Heupel because he didn't hang 70 on Florida. Just give it up.

Imagine if they ran uptempo and threw incompletions how much time Florida would've had after the onside kick.

Yea, I think Bru might have scored. Nothing wrong with the play call.

I would say you are right. I always heard they used the caine brothers from a few of PT friends.

Dude. We WON! I'll take our game plan vs UF vs any other one in history, in existence, and ever to be created. The results were absolutely PERFECT.

So the offense that is averaging 559 or so yards per game suddenly can’t pick up 10 yards in four downs???? Not acceptable. Somebody must have accidentally picked up one of Pruitt’s old play call sheets from the clipboard

We were running the clock out. UF was playing run defense. Pretty evident.

Depends on the injury. For example, an AC sprain can take a local injection into the joint with local such as lidocaine + marcaine.

Something like Toradol (ketorolac) is intra-muscular. It’s a strong NSAID. Think of it like a strong ibuprofen or like Mobic (meloxicam) except IM.

They aren’t getting opioids on the sideline and you can’t give an anesthetic like lidocaine, marcaine, etc iv (unless in the OR or ICU at least). That’s just for local use. Also not getting cortisone on the sideline. A steroid like that takes longer to take effect and the game would be long over by then. Now during the week in the training room is different.

Of course it was evident. That is the whole point. We were doing exactly what Florida expected us to do and playing their game instead of ours. That’s what made it so ridiculous.
What is Tennessee’s football team best known for? An offense that gobbles up yards and scores points. What do we do in the most important series of the season so far? Consciously STOP gobbling up yards and scoring points 😬

i feel like they should have ran their normal offense from the getgo and scored and put the game out of reach. instead of trying to run the clock out. i agree with what ainge said. once you lift your team senses that and they lift too. I hate the concept of lifting... score until the clock hits 0. Sportsman ship is overrated. Spurrier ran it up on people all the time at florida and people love that old fart.

So who is to blame, Hooker for not throwing to McCoy or Fant not running deep enough?
Because once again, no one has demonstrated how what Heupel did on that last drive that took them down to the 30 included going for it on 4th down was "taking the foot off the gas". Would you rather have taken deep shots and given Florida the ball back with 2 or 3 mins?

Had nothing to do with sportsmanship. Goodness. We were running clock. Same people criticizing it would be also on the staff if we had thrown 3 straight incompletions. It was the correct strategy…and the 4th down play was wide open.
