Agency to Consider Federal BAN of Gas Stoves Over Health Hazards

DC Bill would Give Some Gas Stove Owners Free Electric Stoves

A bill in Washington D.C. hopes to incentivize gas appliance owners to make the switch to electric by offering low-income households free electric appliances.

The "Healthy Homes and Residential Electrification Amendment Act of 2023″ was first introduced last year by Democrat Council member Charles Allen. The bill hopes to assist low-income families make the transition to electric by allowing households earning less than $80,000 to buy and install electric appliances for free, via the help of federal funds through the Inflation Reduction Act.

My god

What the hell does Abrams know about Energy or CC?

And funded by Dark Money..ie taxpayers

Alex Laskey, Saul Griffith and Matusiak — who founded Rewiring America in 2020 — have all pursued various wind, solar, electrification and energy efficiency ventures, some of which have netted them millions of dollars in buyouts or received significant federal funding. The three co-founders have simultaneously advocated for policies benefiting those ventures through the nonprofit.

San Francisco latest Dem city to crack down on Gas Appliances

San Francisco regulators moved forward with regulations banning future sales of certain natural gas-powered appliances as part of the Democrat-led city's climate agenda.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District, which oversees air pollution and emissions regulations for the nine counties surrounding San Francisco, greenlighted amendments to regulations Wednesday evening related to eliminating nitrogen oxide emissions from natural gas furnaces and water heaters in the region. The action requires all commercial and residential furnaces and water heaters to be electric by 2027.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but these regulations, or talk of them, didn't come about until some dingle berry suggested banning gas stoves. It seems like the democrats hit a nerve and have decided to go full on with the "NO GAS STOVE" mandates because the people don't like it.
They poke the bear until they hit a nerve, and then they zero in on that as their next target.

New York on Cusp of being first state in nation to Ban Natural Gas under new budget — and residents are furious

Get ready to start simmering with rage.

Gas stoves will soon become toast in New York, under a controversial new handshake deal between Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul and Albany lawmakers that would make that state the first in the US to ban natural gas.

Some New Yorkers say future gas stove ban in new buildings is not so hot an idea

LOL Who cares what NY does? They voted for these idiots, they are getting what they want. The only thing that worries me is that they will come down here and bring their moronic ideas with them.

I'd somewhat say I agree, but like many states, idiocy in New York City is overrunning the needs of the rural folks. Rural folks need those gas stoves for heat.

According to the dictates of the leftist state, you'll use electric power for everything and like it ... even if the power grid can't manage to keep it going 24/7 ... or in stormy weather.

A few years ago we lost our water after a few days without electric power because the utility couldn't pump the water into the tanks without power. Our gas water heater was ready to heat the nonexistent water the entire time; you just might have to use the hot water while it existed by candlelight, but you could have a hot shower in a cold, dark house.

And despite all their talk about renewable energy, can you guess how they are increasing capacity on the grid in NE? Yep, natural gas fired units

NY shut down Indian Point in 2021; at least that saved them from having to rename it on racist grounds. The regulatory agencies would have made renaming a 10 year debacle, and New Yorkers would have been dying by the scores over the shame.

Shoreham on Long Island was commissioned in 1986 and decommissioning begun in 1989; probably one of the worst boondoggles in history. Seems like union graft and thuggery during construction set all time records - and a record price for the plant construction. Then they ran at something like 5% power which generated tons of radioactive waste and turned the fuel from new to irradiated fuel - making removal and transport a whole different game. The people of Long Island may still be paying for that $6B episode. If they put a funnel over NYC, they might capture enough hot air to power the state.

Now Biden is going after your DISHWASHERS: Appliances would have 27% less power and 34% less water in new White House crackdown to fight climate change

Joe Biden will face fresh accusations of meddling in the lives of American households after his administration announced a green crackdown on dishwashers.

His Department of Energy quietly released tighter rules for the home appliances on Friday afternoon as millions of people across the country prepared to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

The rules, which form part of the administration’s climate change agenda, would slash water use by more than one-third and cut energy use limits by 27% for dishwashers in the U.S.

Still looking feverishly in the Constitution for the clause that gives the government the power to do any of this.
The founders would be apoplectic

The Biden administration maintains that it is not attempting to ban gas stoves, but its spending on building electrification programs indicates that it may be able to effectively phase out gas stoves by helping local governments ban gas hookups in new buildings.

“Jurisdictions have tried to ban gas hookups, and they have lost in court,” Steve Milloy, senior legal fellow for the Energy & Environment Legal Institute and former Trump Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) transition team member, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “They’re not going to stop, they don’t care what the courts say and they are going to try to bulldoze their way to policy objectives.” (RELATED: Cori Bush Says Ban On Gas Stoves Is Actually Just ‘Regulating Indoor Air Pollution’)

Biden's War On Energy: President invokes wartime powers to Speed Up End to Gas-Powered Home Appliance

President Joe Biden allotted $169 million for electric heat pump projects with his emergency authority on the basis of climate change.

This is the first time a president classified climate change as an emergency by utilizing the Defense Production Act, which was established during the Cold War. Now, the money stemming from the Inflation Reduction Act will be divided among 15 sites dedicated to manufacturing the necessary parts and entire units of a variety of heat pumps.
