After looking closely at our schedule we are the team to beat next year

If TN didn't have bad luck, they wouldn't have any luck at all. Leave it to their fate to draw the probable National Champion team(OSU) in TN's first Playoff game. I have also seen similar luck when it comes to the NCAA Basketball tournament.Shheeeesss šŸ¤”

I've heard we aren't playing the Bama and gater games because they are automatic road losses 100% guaranteed and we won't host Georgia because that too is a guaranteed loss. So there's 9-3 right there. We always lose one we shouldn't and since we're not firing anybody that's another one you can count on. Syracuse is gonna want revenge from 98 cause they shoulda won that one. Same with Arkansas. When is the last time we had them and Syracuse in the same year? That's a bad omen.

5-7 is our ceiling if we're lucky, but 4-8 or 3-9 is likely with a floor 1-11.

Go Vols!! Cause I'm a True Fan.
Dang r u giving us the Vandy game? 😊

With NICO coming back we are going to beat them by at least 2-3 TDS.

Maybe 4.
I don't know. I was watching the Dave Hooker show yesterday, and they gave Nico just a rating of C(Average) for 2024. Me not included, but it seems some of the so called UT experts are not too impressed with him.

I think we will see a great QB next year!

Well for his first year here, he went 10-2...... He didn't have to contend for the Heisman, but he had a very formidable first year. Good base for him to launch from

Here is a comment from the D. Hooker article on Nico on what he was saying: Think what you will.

However, Iamaleava was supposed to be the kind of transcendent player that could turn that series (GA) in the Vols’ favor. Tennessee nor Iamaleava were ready for the beginning of the season and, according to sources who spoke to Off The Hook Sports, were behind in September, had to dial down the offense and were playing catch-up all season.

Overall 2024 grade: C

Sure I get it. Stat wise it wasn't nothing to write home about, but he managed a 10-2 record.... If he was able to play a C game season but go 10-2, that is very promising for the future.

We have 2 tough road games (Bama, UF) and UGA at home. We have a new WR room, but they have very little experience. We have not showed an ability to develop these younger players (I'm assuming bc we don't play them). Similarly, the best OL players are gone. We have failed to develop anyone on OL. Bottom line, I don't think we have made any personnel moves to make life easier on Nico. Either Elarbee and Pope suddenly learn how to develop people this winter, or it is going to be another rough year of the same offense. I was hoping to pick up some proven portal guys at WR and OL. Instead, we picked up a WR who never saw the field - maybe he's great, maybe he drops balls and gets no YAC...too early to tell. I don't think it's a good sign that our best players threatened to go to the portal because they want a fast tempo passing game. We now have NIL players dictating how we run the offense. I think we all want to go back to the '22 offense, but have we made the changes to get there?

We just picked up a top 10 recruiting class which will help elevate the quality of the roster
Those recruits will not contribute this year in a meaningful way. over half will transfer within 2 years unfortunately. Not suggesting we stop recruiting but ought to focus more on transfers that can have an immediate impact.

Good point. Under the current situation, keeping all your HS recruits 3-4 yrs is no longer possible. You have to recruit both groups. Hype knows this and I believe he is doing a good job of mixing the 2.

Let’s hope. Would help if he got some protection or and better play calls

I don’t see one team that can beat us in the regular season.

We start off with two cupcakes, then we get Georgia in Neyland.

Once we get the lead in Neyland, momentum will snowball and Kirby will....

We will wax Georgia 38-13.

Alabama doesn’t scare me with their new head coach. We go in to that dump of a stadium and beat them 48-16. Their defense is soft just like their west coast ā€œcoachā€ is. Maybe more of their players can throw temper tantrums and show the coaches that nobody respects them. That includes Heupel, who will run it up on them.

We finish off the season beating the absolute life out of sunbelt Billy and Diego Poverty.

SECCG and Playoffs will be a different story but next year we should book our ticket to Atlanta or it will be a disappointment.
