After looking closely at our schedule we are the team to beat next year

Honestly, if you break the season into thirds based on the Bye weeks, you get this:

vs Syracuse (in Atl)
vs ETSU
vs UGa
vs UAB
@ Miss St

That first round of games looks like 4-1 to me, with a decent chance at 5-0 since we get UGa in Neyland. Call it 4.5-0.5, statistically.

vs Arky
@ Bama
@ Ky
vs Okla

Similarly, this looks like 3-1 to me, with an ok chance at 4-0. Call it 3.5-0.5 statistically.

vs New Mex St
@ Florida
vs Vandy

If we weren't playing Florida in the Swamp, I'd say 3-0. It is November, so the heat of the Swamp won't be a force multiplier as it has been in Septembers in the past. Still, it's the Gator curse. Call this 2.5-0.5 because of it.

Add all that up, and you get 10.5-1.5. Either 10-2 or 11-1. Since we often lose one we should win (see Arky this past season), let's round down.

10-2 looks most likely from my perspective. 8-4 is the floor, and 12-0 is the ceiling.

Go Vols!
I've heard we aren't playing the Bama and gater games because they are automatic road losses 100% guaranteed and we won't host Georgia because that too is a guaranteed loss. So there's 9-3 right there. We always lose one we shouldn't and since we're not firing anybody that's another one you can count on. Syracuse is gonna want revenge from 98 cause they shoulda won that one. Same with Arkansas. When is the last time we had them and Syracuse in the same year? That's a bad omen.

5-7 is our ceiling if we're lucky, but 4-8 or 3-9 is likely with a floor 1-11.

Go Vols!! Cause I'm a True Fan.

Our roster isn’t in bad shape. We are gonna be improved offensively and unless Banks leaves, we are gonna be good on defense again. I am not afraid of Syracuse.
Our roster is middling as of now. It's not great and it's not terrible either. We need the right portal additions and also several of the 25 kids must step up. It's farther to the top then it is back down to 8-4. Our level of raw talent must continue to rise.
I'm not afraid of any team. I do know who we can and can't beat based upon roster construction tho... If we were actually worried about Syracuse then I'd be seriously worried about our SEC title chances next year.

We just picked up a top 10 recruiting class which will help elevate the quality of the roster

I don’t see one team that can beat us in the regular season.

We start off with two cupcakes, then we get Georgia in Neyland.

Once we get the lead in Neyland, momentum will snowball and Kirby will....

We will wax Georgia 38-13.

Alabama doesn’t scare me with their new head coach. We go in to that dump of a stadium and beat them 48-16. Their defense is soft just like their west coast “coach” is. Maybe more of their players can throw temper tantrums and show the coaches that nobody respects them. That includes Heupel, who will run it up on them.

We finish off the season beating the absolute life out of sunbelt Billy and Diego Poverty.

SECCG and Playoffs will be a different story but next year we should book our ticket to Atlanta or it will be a disappointment.
Is that you Dobbs4heisman?

This team will have a lot to prove next season. The offensive line, a position group that has embodied inconsistency and under-performance for years, will be largely new and untested. Their performance will play a huge part determining if Nico reaches his potential as well. The WRs are another question mark - after the 2024 campaign where they struggled to get open against good competition, they too will be another group with unknowns.

Just statistically speaking, it’s more likely that we’re an 8-win team than a 10 or 11 win squad. Heck, if we do our usual no-show in a game we should win, that *could* mean 7 wins.

But Josh Heupel has surprised us before. I am hopeful that we’ll see some positive adjustments on offense.

Uhhh.......wow man. UGA at home will be a really tough game that we will definitely be underdogs in. Bama and UF on the road ( we know how good we are on the road. ex. Arkansas 2024). We have a lot of questions going into next year and a qb that needs to make big strides in the offseason. Hope you're right....

Lagway is basura

He's terrible

They will go 4-8/5-7 and Napier should get fired, but luckily UF doesn't care about football anymore so he probably won't.
He was a Freshman All American. Was Nico a freshman All American in either of his freshman years?

Great optimism, I like it . Sounds like a smooth run thru the playoffs coming our way . We’re due for a Natty. We average 1 every 35 years or so. So we should be ahead of schedule.

The fact we have both Bama and Florida away is making next year's schedule tougher IMO. Both teams will be better than 2024. UGA at home helps though. I just hope we make the playoffs again!

One of his 1st surprises was that 44-13 beatdown at LSU.

True. But that one always gets a wet blanket thrown on it because it was a noon kickoff. It was still a great win . . . We just need to start winning those big primetime road games that are more of a challenge.

Yes these are the big 3 games I see next season that I would predict losses but hope I am wrong. And then you always have that one game should win but.......
