Between the long hours of rehab, Sutton still attended every positional meeting and helped mentor the younger Tennessee players in a secondary that has fielded nine different starting lineups because of injury. He wore his helmet on the field with his crutches at games, hopping around to provide motivation and advice to teammates.
...Sutton's legacy will live on at Tennessee in the record books and in the teammates hell be leaving behind.
"Hes a great leader to this defense. Hes one of those guys who you look at when youre a recruit and youre like, Man, hes one hell of a player. You look at him as a role model, Tennessee redshirt sophomore defensive back Rashaan Gaulden said. But at the same time, once you play with him, you have higher standards to live by and you have to play up to his level. Just having him here and all that hes done for us has definitely made an impact.
