Yeah but it’s tough to be a leader and respected after you pull the crap he did last yr. JJ is in it for JJ. Nothing else

This is really high-character stuff from JJ. You know how much he HATES losing. Dude is a warrior. But he sets all that aside and gives a kid a lifelong memory.
Well done, JJ.
Being from Murfreesboro myself, he represented well. He made me proud last night and I’m glad he’s a Vol.

Complete BS

He wanted to play because he knew our chances of beating Vandy would be greatly improved. If he was I it for himself there is no way he would have risked injury for a completely meaningless game.

You and others who attack him for wanting to play last year ought to rethink your position and get over his foul language on social media.

JJ gives his all for Tennesse and saying anything other than that makes one look like a tool. IMO of course...

Don't agree.
When I see this picture, I think back to when my kids were little and how huge it was to hang out and get autographs after the games. There were some players that were unapproachable.

I remember those that made the effort.

JJ seems to me to be a team player. Wants to win so much, but had to learn where the line was. How and Pruitt both made the right call.

Why can coaches berate and curse players and so many on here love it and call kids soft for being bothered by it while bashing JJ for calling out a completely clueless Brady Hoke?

The same reason employees can’t do the same thing against their boss and expect to keep their jobs. And yes, I know JJ is not an employee, but the authority structure is the same. This should be obvious here.

Better play 90% of snaps if healthu going forward or this staff is clueless. I don’t care who looks best in practice. He looks best in games.

Pruitt did say the team had good practices the week leading up to the game. That turned out well for us.

That was last year. Coach let him back so I’m good too. If everyone had his fire and competitiveness we’d be in better shape.
JJ's tirade last year was a symptom of a much bigger disease that is still affecting the cohesiveness, determination and grit of the team. CJP is working on it and I see improvement in that area. It remains to be seen if the patient can be cured or amputation is required.

If my boss curses me and fires me when I curse back he better go ahead and call the company attorney.

Hypocrisy is wrong at any level. Pretending it's okay when dealing with young charges is ridiculous

Do as I say not as I do? Not the lessons we should be teaching.
