Advanced Metrics Nonsense

Manimal plays 17 and 20 minutes and the Nuggets lose their first 2 to average teams by 10+. He plays 36 minutes against the Heat on the road, and they lose by just 3 (he had 22 and 12, shooting 73%). He went for 15 and 8 yesterday in just 23 minutes (shooting 70%), in their first win of the season.

Hopefully somebody in Denver will give George Karl a clue.

It's ridiculous he's not giving McGee and Faried more playing time together.

Kind of like my idiotic coach in Detroit, who won't give Monroe/Drummond more time together.

Hahaha. Advanced metrics demonstrate that basketball is all about number of good plays vs number of bad plays. Traditional player evaluations generally just measure number of good plays. Seems flawed to me, but I don't think your approach is "absurdly moronic". Just different. What perplexes me is nobody can seem to see the logic to my side. It's a simple game. Make more good plays than bad plays.

Ben Wallace is not a better player than Jordan. Fact is, nobody was better than Jordan. That list is stupid.

It's not saying Ben Wallace is a better player than Jordan. Jordan only played 15 years, and missed 3 years of his prime. All it's saying is that Wallace produced more wins over the length of his longer career. Jordan produced more wins per season, even missing out on his prime.

Well, it's essentially that. You just have to do the math on wins produced per season to re-order it.

T-Wolves are having horrible injury luck. Budinger was killing it, now he's out 3-4 months. No Pekovic either. This is a good team if healthy. Even without Love they went 5-2. Anyone know how long Pekovic is out? Love should be back in a couple weeks.
