Adidas Contract and Dave Hart

Adidas for the win.

everyone has nike. I dont want our gear to be like every other team out there.

It wont be. Not too many schools use orange and white. Hope we get Nike, Adidas gear is mostly crap outside of the scorch gear

Nike is a bit more affordable and is almost always in stock in 2xl - the authentic jerseys are 50 dollars less than adidas - I just like adidas shoes better but not this years cleats or socks (surpised the adidas logo isnt on the socks - maybe a orange power T on the socks would look better with the cleats )

If you want to stick with tradition, stick with Adidas. Some of the most traditional schools wear adidas (Michigan, Notre Dame, Nebraska, and of course Tennessee)

Alabama and Penn State say hi(but I get your point, just bustin your chops:hi:).

Personally I really don't care who we go with. We are locked into Adidas for a few more years and that's fine by me. I don't know that it is as big of a deal in football as it is in basketball though. I know several players from the past, and have heard several other stories about players we recruit that just flat out want to go to a Nike school. That being said, the ATL pipeline that we've had the past few years(AAU Celtics) is an Adidas team.

I've graduated and don't really know any of the new players, but I know during Lofton's senior year the players weren't happy with Adidas at all. Matter of fact, I have the pair of Adidas that C-Lo nearly broke his ankle in sitting in my closet right now. Not that the shoe had anything to do with him turning his ankle, but I also have about 3 other pairs of shoes of his that suffered "blow outs" in nearly consecutive practices. I'd like to assume they've gotten better the past few years though.

did you read the whole thing?

But I didn't like that they were an adidas team, but that's not to say I wouldn't go to Kansas because Kansas is a great team. I can look over the adidas thing — I own some adidas stuff.

also

At least Baylor can take solace that its clashing color scheme hasn't prevented Drew from assembling some of the nation's best recruiting classes the past two seasons.

Nike - Georgia, Florida, Vanderbilt, LSU, Alabama, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Arkansas
Under Armour - Auburn, South Carolina
Adidas - Tennessee, Miss. State

I look at it this way they finally got the color right and we are different from the teams we hate. I don't want to be caught in the same kind of crappy stuff those teams wear.

Lol yes I did. By your logic it would seem that Kansas and Baylor are on the same level in the basketball world b/c they are both Adidas, which with both know isn't the case.

As I said previously, I don't care who we are with as long as they keep our traditional look in place. Personally I prefer Nike(without the exception of most of the pro-combat unis), and I know for a fact that there are several fball/bball players that feel the same(Bray has been quoted as such, and I know several former bballers that agree). I merely posted the article b/c as the it says, the player wasn't fond of the schools colors, "or it's Adidas affiliation".

There have been numerous posters on here that have said how preposterous it is that a kid would let something like a schools athletic apparel affiliation get in the way of their decision to go there. I know that I along with several others have attempted to argue that it happens, and this article just merely points out a specific case where it did.

Good reason.

Whatever you say, Bob'o

No, it was really horrible. So you think Nike is better because more people buy it than Adidas. Bad logic. The most popular is OFTEN not the best.

I have always liked Adidas better than Nike. I am glad we use Adidas and HOPE we never make the mistake of jumping on the bandwagon because the silly faction of our fanbase thinks Nike is better

Sure it happens. I don't want the kid that makes his college choice based on the brand used by the University. That kid is miles away from having his priorities in order

Are we still with adidas or have we switched to nike?

just curious because i saw a picture in another post of hideous TN combat jerseys made by nike.

Jerseys, and large football stadiums don't win ball games.
