I know. Like anyone who came to the GA game saw those jerseys and left because they were not traditional. If we lose any fans because our jersey aren't the typical tradition we don't need you anyway. Bet y'all are the same ppl saying, sit down I can't see at games

I say Louis vuitton uni's. Let's get Hollywood.
Posted via VolNation Mobile

Agreed. Let's take this next level. Let's bring Rocky Top to Rodeo Drive. Ralph Lauren, Kenneth Cole, Michael Kors...get them on the phone!

Because they pay my school over a million dollars more a year than Nike offered. Period.

I don't care if they pay us 3 million more. Id rather win games. And its obvious most fans and players would like a change also. Face it. What are you going to lose if we changed?

Although Im not the biggest fan of the tight fit uni's we have right now I have to say I do love adidas and hope TN never switches. I also hope I never live to see the day the Vols run out in pro combat or these crazy ua uniforms.

Tiger Woods hits Nike clubs, but his clubs are an exact duplicate of the Mizuno's that he's hit from being an amateur. I don't care whose logo is on the uni's, but they don't own the heart and soul of our traditions.

Georgia's uniforms and helmets are cool on their own right, but they completely take away from their traditions. I suspect they are not ringing well twinxd the hedges....especially after the loss.

I'm pretty sure the uniforms had nothing to do with their loss. They played a much better team. Also supporting nice uniforms themselves..

No.

First, it's spelled "Adidas."

Second, Reebok had phased out their college sponsorship program before the Adidas purchase in 2004. At the time of the Adidas buyout of Reebok, Boston College was the only Reebok school, Adidas had nothing to do with it. They kept Boston College because of a local connection.

Boston College had a change in administration and did not renew with Reebok. They have been wearing Under Armour for three years now.
*Adidas.... (smart phones) Yes BC has been. But the point is college football has turned into a business. The change in uniforms for a game or two sells and it's what's in for the younger generations. Actally didn't the NFL start the alternate uniform fab a few years back (Reebok until next season).... *Adidas owned

If we are going to switch I would prefer we go with Under Armour simply because I hate...hate hate the pro combat uniforms that Nike forces out. Plus, like the quality or not, kids love ua gear. There is a reason there is now an espn ua all American game.

U realize Nike doesn't force the pro combat right? They propose a design to a university and the university has an option to sign off on it or not.

Probably not as much freedom to sign off as you think. I'm assuming another reason for Adidas as others have said who give us more flexibility in design

All these adidas ppl have no clue about the brand except ut has had it for so long they don't want change.

Have y'all ever been to a foot action, foot locker, hibbit sports or any other major shoe store? You won't see much adidas at all. And for 1 reason. People don't like them and that's for 1 reason. They suck. Its as simple as that. Nike don't need to out bid adidas to get us. Adidas needed to outbid them. Nike has Jordan. That alone brings in crazy money. They ain't missing us. Adidas is like a cross of asic and k swiss lol

The only thing cool about adidas is that you can make it stand for All Day I Dream About Sex.

Nike, or UA. Adidas will become a brand like starter before long- A thing of the past

What a horrible, horrible post. Congrats.

So what we want is flat black and sparkly flake paint? And runway shows such as Maryland.

I say we stick to that gawdy orange that everyone hates to see come to town. We're easily one of the most recognizable teams in football... because our look is timeless. It was cool in 1970 and it was cool when we played Montana.

Jmo but we could wear rainbow jumpsuits just so long we're winning some ball games.

let's not pretend this is actually a football issue. now basketball...it actually effects. not having nike hurts us there i'm afraid to say.

How about the freedom to choose what UT puts the football team in? Every time this topic comes up DeerPark explains that the Nike contracts involve giving the creative control to Nike. If the athletic department wants to keep the current look, then they will stick with Adidas because Adidas gives UT the power to veto any uniform combination UT doesn't want. I'm not sure how more money and creative control is lost on you.

God I wish this subject would DIE!! Folks, there is nothing wrong with Adidas. They make great gear. For those crying about the Nike Pro-Combat uniforms, do you honestly think Adidas is incapable of creating something like that?? As if their creative teams somehow lack the talent and ability to come up with gaudy, trashy looking uni's? NO! They work with schools that care about tradition and they don't deviate. Nebraska, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Michigan, UCLA, Texas A&M, etc. These are all great schools with great tradition. Obviously Adidas treats them all well. I wish people would give this subject a rest. Tennessee and Adidas have a great working relationship and that AINT changing anytime soon!

Great post Brave Vol.

All of the Adidas gear is great. All high quality stuff. I am glad that they have the contract. Screw Nike.
