According to Phil Steele, no Power 5 school returns as many OL starts as Tennessee

Hate to disappoint you, Butch's job isn't on the line. If it is, we are in deep trouble.

It's on the line, but he doesn't have to have as good of a season as some think to keep his job.

At 8-4 or better, he absolutely stays.

At 7-5, I also think he stays because of the buyout, but he's in a very precarious position. His seat would be thermonuclear. If his seat is perceived to be so hot that it begins to effect recruiting, then it might get canned.

At 6-6 or worse, I think he is done.

I don't expect any type of midseason firing because I think there is money to be saved if they wait until season's end.

That was a rare miss for him. Steele is one of the best prognosticators there is out there. His season preview magazine is a must-read for me.

I agree. Haha, I got sidetracked in the middle of typing that post. My point, although it wasn't important was, he was wrong last year so I wish he would stfu as to not jinx us.

Anyway, yea he's probably my favorite.

There have been people here in the past who made violent threats towads those they disagreed with and if that's what you're angling at then you should come out and state it and take whatever punishment the mods impose. If you are talking about civil in person discussions, my opinions are the same and I'd tell someone the same thing in person as I post here if the subject arises.
That's an awful big conclusion you just jumped to. Calm down buddy

Negas condescending? You've got that completely backwards. You're also a complete fraud - you constantly complain about negavols yet you don't have a single one on ignore. I've never seen you offer any football commentary or insight on this board. All you do is sit back and wait for someone to post something you perceive as negative so you can chime in with your jerkwad insults. Do us all a favor and just go away.
Like I said, you negas and name calling. How original of you. And I don't ignore anyone, I find it quite funny to watch y'all wring your hands and complain like 12 year old school girls. I do talk football, just not with people who are miserable in life and do nothing but complain on the internet. I do feel sorry for y'all though. If you're so worried about my jerkwad attitude why don't YOU just ignore ME?

I often wonder if all you condescending negas would run your mouths like this if all these conversations were held in person. I strongly believe not.

:lolabove::lolabove::lolabove::lolabove: So peolple suppose to be scared stating their opinions in person? You sound real tough

Why do people have to emulate BAMA fans?

If there is any school that should know better than to show a coach his walking papers mid season, before having an upgrade replacement in the bag ready to start the next day I don't know who it is. I like to believe the power suits in the hallowed halls of UT are smarter than that, but a fan might get fooled.

He cannot get beat by Vandy and Muschamp this season and survive unless he beats UF and Bama no matter the other games.

But we are young and inexperienced everywhere else. Still, I look for Coach Jones to have our team pumped up and ready to win the SEC!!:dance2:
