It's tough to block for a qb who wants to run all the time. Should be easier to block for Dormady.
I often wonder if all you condescending negas would run your mouths like this if all these conversations were held in person. I strongly believe not.

Having talented offensive lineman hasn't been the issue. Having coaching that is capable creating a quality offensive line frome those lineman, has been.

Based on performance to date, I'd have to say the talent argument is certainly debatable. Now that we have new coaching across the board, I guess we will have an answer this fall. As the saying goes...this game is won or lost at the LOS. There are rather large question marks surrounding both OL,DL at UT for the coming season.
I can see where you are coming from, but I think the caveat is Mahoney. Given the regression of the OL during his time here, even if we replaced our predominantly 3-star line with 4-5 star guys, Mahoney still would have struggled to teach the blocking schemes and having them working in concert.
My doubts with 2017 are more with Wells as I find it hard to believe that he is a P5-level line coach. Just unlikely that he's been flying under the radar this long if he really is capable of taking Mahoney's mess and turning it into our strongest unit. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Despite the progression of the Volunteer program under head coach Butch Jones, Tennessee is facing a good deal of skepticism this offseason thanks to what many perceive as a lack of returning experience on offense. Anyone saying that clearly isnt taking into account the returning offensive linemen on Rocky Top.
According to college football expert Phil Steele, no Power 5 team returns more starts on the offensive line heading into the 2017 season than Tennessee with 111 returning starts. Right behind the Vols at No. 3 in the nation and No. 2 among all Power 5 teams is Auburn with 106.
Having a talented and experienced O-Line helps a inexperienced QB cut his teeth. We should have one of the best units in the SEC in 2017 and beyond. Tons of talent in this unit.
Unfortunately, and they didn't mention it in the story, we also have the most QB sacks and hurries allowed by any returning O line as well![]()
I have a feeling that Dormady if he gets the start will have a much quicker release than Dobbs. Dobbs overanalyzed at times and there just isn't enough time for that.
Of course Dormady won't have the running ability of Dobbs but he can run slightly better than most QBs.
I'm sure they act the same in person as they do typing on a keyboard. Why wouldn't they? It's a free country. Nobody would have to stand there and have a conversation if they didn't want to.
