Not saying that I care that our kids are excellent students or anything, but people who care about winning might care about this when we start hearing about starters becoming academically ineligible. Not saying we do have anyone in this category now, but with this news, it does seem a great possibility. just my .02
70 student-athletes below a 2.0 is bad. Really bad. I don't recall what UT's policy is for academic probation, but I would think that might be a major concern here if they don't pull their grades up this Spring.

Freshmen also have mandatory study table assisted by advisors and mentors.It is disconcerting, since the players take a light load of cupcake classes in the fall, and they have access to tutors. They seem to have written off last fall before the season was up... on the field and, apparently, in the classroom. Hopefully, Dooley will get the morale and motivation up, which will fix a lot. But there are always going to be those who just can't cut it in the classroom-- hopefully, they are buried on the depth chart.
