About Kentuckys ten wins

As I'm wont to do from time to time, I roam about and lurk on opponent team boards. Just to see the chatter. Recently, I decided to post game visit the Purdue board. A Kentucky fan posted a thank-you message there for the Boilermakers' victory in the MCB. I think it was after a Purdue fan's post insulting the bowl losts by the"mighty SEC." I thunk to myself, could the SEC exile the blue furred bobcats to the B1G?

Easily the dumbest thread on VN. If I am a Kentucky fan then I am linking this thread to other boards and lol. Someone made a sour grapes thread and it won't go away. Then 1 Kentucky fan is taking on the board. I would much rather be in there position. We lost to Purdue. Don't be mad at another team.

No, most everyone is missing the point of my thread. I’m not diminishing the fact that KY won ten games. Good for them. The programs are still about even. You know it will always be a close game when we play them.

If you swapped the schedules, the Vols probably win 10 games and KY only 7-8. Big difference playing Alabama instead of Miss State, Ole Miss instead of LSU, playing Florida at home, and Pittsburgh (ACC Champs) instead of Louisville.

OK so Kentucky won ten Games to our seven. They also had an easier schedule.

We play Alabama as our permanent west opponent and they get Miss State. Automatic loss for us.

They also got a bad LSU team at home as the other west opponent and we get the second best team in the west in Ole Miss.

We played Florida when Florida was good at their place and KY played them at home after their downfall started.

KYs out of conference schedule was LA Monroe, Chattanooga, New Mexico State, and Louisville. We played the ACC champs in Pittsburgh.

The team they beat in the bowl game Iowa lost to Purdue by 17 points.

Kentucky beat two teams with a winning record.

We lost to both teams in the Championship game, two conference champions, five teams won 10+ games. We also had two games were highly questionable calls affected us.

And we beat Kentucky!
I quit reading when you said Alabama is an automatic loss.

So comparing us to Ky (or viscera) what is the point of your thread. (I missed it)

Kentucky had a really good team - was definitely our best game of the year and we barely squeaked it out. That was a great win for us and underappreciated imho.
To Ky's credit - don't remember them faking injuries like Ole Miss and Purdue.

Y’all just can’t stop thinking about Kentucky for some reason can y’all? Beat us this year and still know our program is in better shape.
The thing is…. We’ve been to the top. We will go there again. This is the best you can hope for, ever. Our program isn’t great. Neither is yours. Arguments over who’s is in better shape is kinda silly. At the end of the day we’re still Tennessee and your still Kroger U. That’s never going to change.

Did not have time. Most of our drivers were 1 or 2 plays.

Apparently to discredit anything Kentucky did this year in order to make us look better which oddly enough was our signature win. Can’t wait to see everyone do this when we beat a terrible Florida team.

Ky is out recruiting us at the moment in both Rivals and 247 Rankings
Ky has a better Foundation than we do at the moment.

Missouri is out recruiting us in 247 rankings.

Recruiting is based on needs and we are overall having to fill a lot of holes.

So it may all be a wash in the long run....

Y’all have a good team and a good coach. You are no longer a pushover but I wouldn’t say that your program is in better shape. Tennessee has about every resource a championship program needs if we could only leverage them. But yes I do have more respect for the cats than I used to. So much so that once the line came out for them against Iowa ( Kentucky was only .5 point favorite then) I jumped all over it

What was the score before that one at yalls house

Kentucky has built a good program under Stoops.

They are competitive and can never be overlooked.

If Stoops stays, and Tennessee isn't careful, Kentucky could easily become a better CURRENT program than Tennessee in all aspects of football (recruiting, wins, rank, etc...).

Tennessee needs to quit being incompetent from an administrative level, and start doing what's necessary to win.

That begins with never hiring coaches like Dooley or Pruitt again.

Jones and Heupel were at least winning head coaches when they were hired.

Just to be fair you probably are right. That schedule is harder than the one we played. We probably don’t have 10 wins if we have that schedule. I just had to be a sh*t for a minute

never Kentucky brings to much money for the sec to let go. Have to think about it would be football and basketball. And football fans are supporting lately. We packed the citrus bowl just like any sec team would

How’s it feel to know you can’t beat us back to back years....Hadn’t happened since 76’n 77’ that was Bill Battle last year and Johnny Majors first year taking over a depleted Vols team.! See what I’m telling you history !!! Our 12 so called bad years you were talking about.! We won 9 times Kentucky won (3) 4-2 AT Kentucky! You guys seriously need to slow your roll.....
We will be beating y’all back to back soon. Gotta start next year. Shoulda coulda woulda been last year if y’all got called for that face mask 😀

I
Once again it’s following the sport and the university doing what it takes to fix it ! They stripped the athletic department completely down. Hired a young energetic AD which he hired Someone he knew was bright and could work with.! Heupel put a good coaching staff together and the pieces are all coming together. Networking and recruiting and these classes will be top Ten every year soon !
hope so. I would like to see the Tennessee and Kentucky at the top instead of Georgia and Florida. As far as the East. Would be nice if they could be at Bama and Georgia level. I get tennesse has won a championship before but that was a long time ago. My point is just because I’m a Kentucky fan I don’t want to see other conference teams be terrible. Right now tho it seems saban and smart have those two on a different level that can’t be matched.

Dude stop comparing Kentucky to Tennessee in any aspect. Hell your having a hard time beating us in basketball. Hell if we had a horse track we’d probably kick your tail...lol...Just stop it....we have way to much to sell for you to go there.!
Not really tho. The only thing y’all have in the football program rn is a bigger capacity for y’all’s stadium. And that rarely is being filled. That’s the only stadium I have been to. It was huge but I could of sat anywhere I wanted because no one was there

Lol…. Dude you’re a funny guy
Yea it’s all for a laugh honestly. But in reality Kentucky really has spent a lot of money to change the program. Things are happening for a reason and it’s fun to see a little success even if we don’t win the title. We are used to the same Kentucky y’all are used to so to see a coach actually trying to do something special is kind of cool. This is the first time people have put basketball on a back burner and been more excited about football.

KY is finally getting serious about football and spending money on a big training facility to replace Nutter as a shared facility. I think it makes the SEC stronger.

I miss the Beer Barrel.
Maybe we can bring it back. Or recreate one and make it a trash can. Tennessee should make that a tradition that if you come to Knoxville you will get trashed. I myself kind of enjoyed seeing that but maybe not everyone feels that way but it was comical to me. Especially kiffin snaggin that water bottle out of the air and the golf ball
