And yea to be fair he did over achieve this year. Tennesse does have all the things they need to be a powerhouse I kind of wish it would happen soon. I caught the tail end of when Tennessee was one of the top. Really I missed it and caught fulmers last couple of years. I remember my grandad cussing him on tv to be fired then like 5 years later he was saying he wish fulmer was back. But I do wish tennesse was fielding teams the size of Georgia. I would rather Tennessee dominate than Georgia and bama.

That was said when we reached the 10 win season last time. I mean second in the East isn’t bad.. if your first in the East your probably in the playoff so it’s not like we peaked it’s just extremely hard to reach that next level as long as saban and Georgia are doing what they do

Stoops has gotten several coaches fired. People feel like the world is ending if you lose to Kentucky because they won’t accept it isn’t the old Kentucky. Stoops has Kentucky looking like and playing like those old Florida state teams. Very solid teams so it’s not embarrassing losing to stoops Kentucky. It’s just what Kentucky was for so long that people are holding on to. It in fact would be embarrassing losing to vandy

But I do think we beat ole miss but you never know in football. Y’all could of easily beat us by three touchdowns this year or vice versa. Just like Kentucky could of easily lost to Florida this year but they got the win so it looks better so it really is hard to tell in the sec. one game can have half your team missing from being banged up

It’s is rarely full anymore but 90k in Neyland is still pretty astounding given how much we’ve struggled. LSU has also had a ton of empty seats this year and this is their first brush with adversity since the 1990s. There were games this year where Kentucky had crowds smaller than some Tennessee spring games. Our fan support shouldn’t be discounted

No the fans are still there. Y’all still have plenty of fight for y’all’s team. That’s the main reason for me posting I have a couple good tennesse friends on here I like messing with. He gets me back for sure so I don’t feel bad for coming on here and stirring things up

Meh you seem reasonable enough. Doesn’t hurt that you didn’t show up before a game and strut around then disappear after the loss.
There are some decent Kat posters around that I kinda like. @LittleCat comes to mind.

Our schedule this year turned out to be brutal by getting ACC champ Pitt. On top of the usuall dirt bag university’s in Ga and Ala. We had a really good year considering it was Coach Heupel first year.

Stoops is solid and the KY admin deserves credit for giving him time to build the program

OK so Kentucky won ten Games to our seven. They also had an easier schedule.

We play Alabama as our permanent west opponent and they get Miss State. Automatic loss for us.

They also got a bad LSU team at home as the other west opponent and we get the second best team in the west in Ole Miss.

We played Florida when Florida was good at their place and KY played them at home after their downfall started.

KYs out of conference schedule was LA Monroe, Chattanooga, New Mexico State, and Louisville. We played the ACC champs in Pittsburgh.

The team they beat in the bowl game Iowa lost to Purdue by 17 points.

Kentucky beat two teams with a winning record.

We lost to both teams in the Championship game, two conference champions, five teams won 10+ games. We also had two games were highly questionable calls affected us.

And we beat Kentucky!

I would put it this way….Kentucky survived themselves into a 10 win season. Let’s look at their wins:
(4-8)ULM 45-10
(6-7)MIZZU 35-28 (we beat them 64-24)
(6-5)UT Chattanooga 28-23
(7-6)South Carolina 16-10 (we beat them 45-20)
(6-7)Florida 20-13 (we lost to them 38-14)
(6-6)LSU 42-21
(2-10)Vandy 34-17 (we beat them 45-21)
(2-10)New Mexico State 56-16
(6-7)Louisville 52-21
(10-4)IOWA 20-17

They barely beat 3 teams that finished above .500 and barely beat 4 teams by 7 or less points.

They lost to (7-6)Mississippi State 31-17, (13-1) Georgia 30-13, and (7-6)Tennessee 45-42

If there’s such a thing as luck…it was on their side. They were a possession away from having 7 losses.

Kudos to them. They got 10 wins. Unfortunately for them we weren’t one of them….

I showed up and was told I would disappear but after the game I came back and took the ragging y’all had for me. Well deserved win. But I still would of like to see that face mask called😉

We couldn’t beat everybody. We let Georgia win and y’all. We had to make it look good or people would know we were cheating. Now next year when we win the national championship people won’t be to suprised.
