A good handgun

Shooting clays?

Thanks for your help, this has been very useful!
The type of sport shooting depends on the type of shotgun you buy. I enjoy going to the range and just running rounds through my tactical shotgun. I like speed.

Any all around shotgun you would recommend for a budget minded guy like myself?

Used Rem 870 or maybe save even a little more money on a used Mossberg 500 series. Both have been around forever and can be configured any which way.

As changing barrels is a snap you can get a SD barrel (18 1/2) to go along with a "sporter" barrel (26-28).

so you carry two weapons as concealed carry personal protection

Yes.

One is my main weapon but weapons do jam. I wear it on my left side, as I'm left handed, under my shirt or jacket.

Second one is my back-up in case the other does jam.

I wear that MOB drawn right hand.

Both hold Gold dots 40 cal.

Not paranoid but I'm a walking target in many ways annd my call center is not in the best area.

These are my 3 easy access all purpose stand bys lol. The rest are in the gun safe

Which one has the TX stock, that a Remington?

Looks like a Rem Woodsmaster.

Yep, guessing the 750 with the Monte Carlo stock.

As to the previous "TX stock" question that must be referring to the lever. That's usually in reference to the "straight" stock (no "grip") that is better suited for rifle scabbards on horses.

I went to a gun show today and saw some awesome stuff.

But I got to hold all the ones I've been looking at. The p229 felt amazing, but they only had it in the 9. No .357 or .40 surprisingly.

I got to hold a few USPs. The ,45 was a bit bulky for my hand. The .40 seemed to fit a bit better. I think I just have ***** hands.

I think what felt best in my hand, though, was a Beretta 92FS. It was beautiful, too.

I loved some of the 1911s. I found a decent deal on a good Colt National Match. I fell in love with that gun.

I saw a gold inlaid Colt 1911 made for someone in the Office of Naval Intelligence. $5000 haha

I'd go online and check the reviews on the Beretta before considering it. They used to have a bad rep. Haven't kept up so I don't know how they are now. 229 is hard to beat if you can get a good price. They are expensive. Knoxville used to have a great gun show at the Fair Grounds in the Jacob building. One of the best I've ever been to. Might check to see if they still are doing it there. Went to one, in Kville, at the exposition center on Clinton highway and it wasn't much. That was 7-8 years ago, though. A gun show will get you in the mood to make an instant purchase, for sure.

When I lived in Cali, I went to the Roy Rogers museum. I was amazed at the guns he owned. Many of them, maybe all of them, were given to him. I saw some Colts that were loaded with gold. Also, Winchester rifles, etc. Amazing collection.
