A&E decides

That anyone pays attention to this show confounds me.

Thanks for your contribution.

You should head over the basketball forum. There's a lot of people criticizing a black man for s****y job performance. It's an LG wet dream.

I lot of racism just under the surface over there. Get over there and straighten them out, LG.

Agreed. Forcing opinions/beliefs on one another simply does not work. We need civil discourse, applying more logic and less emotion.

I'm a big believer in empathy, and think we'd all get along much better if we worked to foster it in our lives.

This x 1,000. I'm sure there are 100 things we can find wrong with one another and yell at each other. But what's the point?

Really good thread and great contributions by a lot of different viewpoints. Nice read this morning fellas.

And to gcbvol specifically, your honesty and input regarding this is commendable. Well done.

I think there would be more understanding honest debate without the LG's of the world. We're basically a very curious creature that is capable of learning given the opportunity to do so.

What I am sick of are the vicious attacks by the militant homosexual groups against people's God given right to free speech.

The gay agenda must be stopped. I say this from a political as well as religious position.

Yeah Keith I agree, BUT after years of opression they have been Granted a voice and it seems they dont quite know (or care) how to use it yet.

Personnaly it's annoying that I log into Facebook and I'm flooded with updates about how I need to support Phil Robertson.

No, I don't. I support his right to free speech but please stop turning this millionaire into some kind of martyr.

The best post I've seen on FB was when someone said "Put a bible thumping Southern man on tv, and expect him not to voice his opinon? What did you expect?"

They (A&E) either chose to ignore the possibility of something like this happening down the road, or have done a good job editing. What that cant control is outside interviews when the muzzle is off.

Personally part of this reeks of publicity stunt on A&E's part.

Oppression?

These groups try to recruit the truly oppressed into a situation where they are horribly used and abused.

Still dont subscribe to the theory that this is a pub stunt for ratings. But then again, nothing would suprise me.

Don't disagree with anything you listed. My point is not about the 'acting out', it is simply that sexuality is innate. Just as skin color and gender are innate.

I think this is important because if more people would consider this point I think they'd be much more understanding than they are today. It's really easy and a cop out to just say "those gays choose that sinful, deviant behavior", as if it's just a matter of flipping a switch. It isn't that simple.

I'm not advocating that everyone accept homosexuality, but we could all do a better job with empathy.

Gave your post a like as it was well stated... especially the above. More people (of all races and types) need to be understanding of others. This does not mean one has to accept or agree with another's opinions or lifestyle, but there is no reason to treat anyone with disrespect either. Along those same lines, however, the gay community should be more tolerant of other peoples views. Disagreement does not (or should not) equal hate.

His comments weren't even that bad. It seemed more joking to me. Obviously he doesn't agree with the gay lifestyle and doesn't understand it, but he wasn't saying anything bigoted.

He just has a different opinion. There def is a gay mafia that pulls the strings on Hollywood though.

but no one gives Miley Cyrus the boot?

He didn't make any "anti-gay" remarks. He just didn't bow down to the current gay appeasement crowd

Liberals hate free speech. The reporter asked him his opinion, he answered with his opinion, and now he gets fired

He did not single out gays

He did not compare homosexuality to bestiality. He listed drunkards, homosexuality, adultery, casual fornication, and bestiality as among behaviors he thought were immoral.

What's wrong with that?
