Its not embarrassing cuz he knows football gooder than youI say this in all seriousness. Is it not embarrassing for Jeremy to continue to show up for press conferences and on Vol Calls and try to explain his performance?
2020 was a historically bad team. It’s up for debate which UT was the worst of all-time. But this team has to at least be somewhere on the list.
So we have lost 19 games under Pruitt and 13 have been by more than 21 points. I think this stat needs to be painted on the rock and mass emailed to Boyd,Fulmer, Plowright and BOT( if they have a say). They may choose to forget some details and we should constantly remind them of it.Well since you asked....
2018 West Virginia
2018 Florida
2018 Georgia
2018 Alabama
2018 Missouri
2018 Vanderbilt
2019 Florida

2020 Kentucky
2020 Alabama
2020 Texas A&M

I think he knew he needed a Qb from the jump, its not like he never faced JG. In all fairness he didnt get much of a chance to grab a legit guy early. He got the job late in the recruiting process for the 18 class. Grabbed BM & Shrout last year, who were both talented Qb's but really raw at the position. They both honestly needed at least 2 offseason's before ever taking a snap. Hill never played a down bc of how crowded the Qb room was. This tells u he knew he needed a Qb. Then he grabbed an elite 11 qb this year in Bailey and that put him at 6 qbs on scholly. Now i cant argue the stats or make excuses for Pruitt, but I can look at the reality of the situation. If u look at the timeline, Pruitt has really only had 1 full offseason program in 3yrs. That year he went 8-5 with a bowl victory.Step 1. Recognize you need a good QB. This may still be where Pruitt is. He never brought in a QB capable of starting, and we lost a lot of winnable games the past 3 years.
Maybe, some of that can go back to CBJ and I think we all took that into account. But the Missouri and Vandy games to close 2018 needing one win for a bowl we got throttled by both teams and by game 11 Pruitt should have them better prepared. Add to that we open 2019 with Ga State and that is 3 consecutive horrible performances. Maybe we have better players, but I am not real sure because we haven’t been playing the yo7ngervplayers even when the older players weren’t getting the job done. This is true although i would credit CJP's first 6 to Botch. He left us in a terrible position.
Agreed, however he turned Michael Penix away and stopped recruiting Sam Howell. That is on him and his staff.I think he knew he needed a Qb from the jump, its not like he never faced JG.
