Peerless is clearly the best, I won't argue that.Neither one is close to Peerless Price.
What's always been weird to me is that LSU and UGA beat UF for us in 97 so Peyton got his SEC title which he otherwise would have been without in his time here and then those same two teams beat us in 01 in some sort of apparent cosmic trade-off and we were deprived of a natty as a result. Which brings up an interesting question, what would people have rather had, the natty in 01 or the SEC championship in 97? The natty is the first instinct but we did win it in 98 anyway, but it would have been pretty embarrassing to have had Peyton freaking Manning and never won so much as a division title with him. So I accept the 97 SEC, 01 Miami would have been tough to beat anyway. It was better. We lost Peyton Manning, Leonard Little, Marcus Nash, Terry Fair, Trey Teague, Jonathan Brown, Corey Gaines, etc after the 97 season. We were absolutely stacked in 97.

1999 was Fulmer’s worst coaching job. Took a stacked defending NC team and needed a 3rd and long Hail Mary to beat Memphis tiggers by a pointActually if we're going there, as much as the 2001 team is a haunting memory of what could have been, 1999 imo is worse. 2001 I still think we would have lost to Miami in the Rose Bowl; though I think we would have given them a much better game than Nebraska. But 1999, we the ball for a game winning drive in Gainesville and couldn't get it done. We couldn't put Arkansas away and they win.
Miami had talent but we could’ve beaten them if we played great. Nebraska was just too stronger with a different style play and steroidsInteresting. Why though? The 1995 Nebraska and 2001 Miami are considered 2 of the greatest football teams of all time. They literally demolished nearly every team they played. I would interested in hearing your opinions as to how we would have stood a chance with either team.
Arkansas was in the middle of a cold torrential thunder and wind storm. UK had several breaks to even be in that game. We didn’t get away with any call vs Florida and actually got screwed about 4 times from RefsIt's a tough call, but I'd say the 98 team wins in a close one. It's probably a game that could go either way.
Both teams had some struggles at times.
2001 Arkansas held them to 13. SC held them to 17. They only beat a 2-9 UK team by 3. We may have gotten a break on a holding call in the back of the endzone against UF.
Anyway, the clincher for me is 98 would have Cut calling plays and 01 would have Sanders
Stats and records are pretty clear.Opinions are your own........Doesn't make it right.
I can only think of 4 other QB's I'd rather have ........
Manning
Clausen
Kelly
Holloway
Who would you rather have?
Streater
Scott
Dobbs? (maybe)
Brey
Warren
Tee MartinStats and records are pretty clear.

It's been a long time, maybe I dreamed it, just thought I remembered a jersey pull in the corner of the endzone on a 2 pt play. Thought I remembered saying to was makeup non call for the Gaffney non catch. Maybe I dreamed the whole thing.Arkansas was in the middle of a cold torrential thunder and wind storm. Shuler was runner up for the Heisman. If I’m starting a Team and have to pick a UT former QB as my starter, I pick all the following before Martin. As you can see I’m in the Martin is average at best camp. Definitely not a street named after him worthy.Opinions are your own........Doesn't make it right.

I loved Clausen's toughness but he sure had the luxury of a great line, two NFL receivers and a HOF tight end.Shuler was runner up for the Heisman. Manning
Clausen (the good one)
Shuler
Bray
Holloway
Cockrill
Dobbs
Kelly
Scott
Robinson
Possibly Streater as well. Hard to tell with him because he had pretty average to below average wide receivers most of his career.

I still get mad thinking about how Fulmer/Sanders made zero adjustments on Alex Brown and let him live in the backfield. No double team, no TE put over him, nothing. Also that 4th down run call that took forever to develop.
I 100% forgot Shuler..................That's on me.Shuler was runner up for the Heisman. If I’m starting a Team and have to pick a UT former QB as my starter, I pick all the following before Martin. Bray was ten times the QB Martin was which is why he played longer in the NFLI 100% forgot Shuler..................That's on me.
Martin would be top 6.......I'm a moran.
Streeter and Robinson are two of my all-time favorites............but I'll take Tee over both.
Cockrell, Scott, and Brey???? Come on.
