Doesn’t matter when the opposing qb has nearly 600 yards. Offense isn’t the problem.

I always knew that abandonment of the drop-kick and adaption of the t-formation would be the death of football, not to mention the use of a two platoon system.

The worst defensive play of the night was Aaron Beasley ring around the roses non tackle where the tight end went for an additional 40 and a TD after being trapped on the sidelines by 3 players!

False. Bad defensive execution. Offense was off in spurts but still put up huge numbers.

The recruiting class is one thing but we haven't landed one potential starter on defense in the portal.

I think a lot of people felt that way about our offense too, yet that side of the ball was coached up. Throughout injuries, our best TB quitting, etc they continued to perform.

We had a txfr qb an that was an afterthought and a former 2 star receiver carve up the best teams around this year.

It’s likely the equivalent of West Virginia putting up 77 points on Kevin Steele’s Clemson defense years ago. This defense gave up nearly 600 passing yards to a depleted receiver unit. It’s unacceptable at any level. Some will blame talent but it’s not like Purdue is a recruiting juggernaut.

Maybe 1 or 2 “ phantom” PI calls, however, our DB’s hold or interfere on almost every pass play. Need better coaching and/ or talent
