Doesn’t matter when the opposing qb has nearly 600 yards. Offense isn’t the problem.Imagine having an off night and putting up these numbers.

Imagine Heupel calling a bad game and putting up 45.
I think this offense has spoiled us a little because we've seen what it's capable of at times.
I always knew that abandonment of the drop-kick and adaption of the t-formation would be the death of football, not to mention the use of a two platoon system.Welcome to Heupel ball!!!! We have a sizeable crowd here at VN that loves seeing the Big Orange offense going up and down the field and losing is okay as long as we're exciting and fun to watch. Personally I derive excitement from winning rather than points scored in losing efforts.
False. Bad defensive execution. Offense was off in spurts but still put up huge numbers.Hooker's 2nd quarter didn't help things any. He left at least 2 tds out there. The d got 3 picks and enough stops to win the game. There is plenty of blame to go around, but most of it was bad play calling on offense.
I think a lot of people felt that way about our offense too, yet that side of the ball was coached up. Throughout injuries, our best TB quitting, etc they continued to perform.Banks needs more quality players to work with. Our defense lacks talent big time.
It’s likely the equivalent of West Virginia putting up 77 points on Kevin Steele’s Clemson defense years ago. This defense gave up nearly 600 passing yards to a depleted receiver unit. It’s unacceptable at any level. Some will blame talent but it’s not like Purdue is a recruiting juggernaut.Tim Banks needs to be gone tonight. There is no excuse for how poorly our pass defense is and just looking at the recruiting class it doesn’t look like it’s going to get much better.
