It's overdone and tacky. It's splashy, and tries very hard to make a statement. Seems like it is a lot of different styles thrown together to make an impression without a real plan.

Sorta like Lyle's approach to being a head coach.

That he waited until now to even put his house on the market is clear evidence that he never intended to look for full time employment as a member of a college football coaching staff, until the lion's share of the buyout had been paid. He wants to have his next job lined up and ready to start on March 1st - the day after the buyout has been paid in full. This was low rent by Butch Jones. Don't think AD's haven't taken notice of this.

Didn't he have a son still in school in Knoxville? Maybe Barb and the kids still lived there.

He does. Catholic High. He and Barb donated money for a scoreboard there. That just reinforces that he wasn't pulling up roots until the majority of his buyout was paid. He wanted that buyout money badly. It shows a coach who thinks he will never have a better job than the one he was just fired from.

Thanks for clarifying. I don't blame Butch for cashing in on the buyout. UT agreed to it. Blame UT, not Butch...the old, "Don't hate the player, hate the game."

I think Butch tried here. Most today won't admit it, but they drank the Orange Koolade of Brick by Brick and every other slogan he tossed out. The bottom line is the wins didn't equate to anything of substance and those same fans turned on him. He was the jilted lover and this is his revenge. It sucks. It's sad...and not a good look for him but he'll get an assistant job and move on....hopefully.

Schedule an appointment and hide a couple of opened deer musk scent bottles in the house and a few dead bass.
Just a thought.
