mewithoutYou has insanely good music, but the vocals and lyrics make me laugh. then again, having met the band a few times, i realize it probably has something to do with the singer and the fact that he may very well be a mental case.

all good bands. I'm not too big on Thrice's new CD except for Red Sky and Image of the Invisible. Mewithoutyou is awesome.

Well I Fought The Law is obviously a cover, and Radio Cambodia had neither the instant catchiness of Police Truck, or the political impact of California Uber Alles.

Yeah, the vocals were tough for me on "[A-->B] Life" but I still loved them. They probably speak to me more than any band right now. Yes, he's crazy, but he writes some of the most thought-provoking, interesting lyrics. For instance, on "Catch for Us the Foxes" album, my favorite line is:

"Talkin' all about the 2nd the 3rd, when I haven't understood the 1st."

Good call. While mewithoutYou has my favorite lyrics, Minus the Bear's music is my personally to a TEE.

Thrice's best album has to be "The Illusion of Safety" by the way. However, they are working on a 4 CD album right now that writes like the elements. Should be amazing.

thats what i hear it'll be 4 eps of their different styles. Should be very good.

I didn't really like Vheissu that much... It was okay, just didn't sound that good to me.

I don't think Thrice will ever quite top Illusion of Safety, and I don't expect them to.
