4th quarter play calling!

this is about as ridiculous as say, giving people money for not working and yet they still gripe about it...oh wait, that actually happens as well.

People are just idiots....period.

Plus, Ferentz with the onside kicks after the Vols called off the dogs with 10 minutes left in the game. Vols could have scored 60 if they had wanted to

in the immortal words of Tommy Kelham.....you know where it hangs!!!

absolutely nothing wrong with the play calling....our guys dominated the entire game until it was too late.....Iowa shoulda taken a knee instead of trying to score but so waht.

How back and sit back and enjoy the team that I love compete and be allowed to fight their a$$ off from start to finish... because they've earned that opportunity. Players want to play/compete...not go into a shell for an entire quarter.
play much in your day did u?

I have to agree. I hate to see a team run up the score. I also hate to see a team quit playing and "not finishing" as Butch stated in the post game. Every down is an opportunity. Augment with the 2nd team and push the ball down the field. That series inside the 10 when Dobbs ran the ball every down was especially frustrating. Finish the game Butch.

Great game Coach Jones, team was well prepared and ready to play. So we called the dogs off late, Coach Jones showed class and team played great.

If it had been me I would of hung two more TD's on them. But I don't have as much class as Butch Jones. Great job by all involved. This was a pretty good Iowa team. I don't think anybody thought Tennessee would blow them out like this.

I get the whole "work on the clock" mindset...but to just completely "tank it" ????? I'm not saying try to hang 60 on an opponent...but Hesse kids work to hard to be completely handcuffed offensively the entire 4th qtr. not to mention putting Dobbs at unnecessary risks running three times in a row from the 10 yard line. The fans who traveled also deserve more for there time and money. Very frustrating nod concerning.

Laughable but expected.

If I was a college coach I would never take my foot off the gas. Maybe go slower and run more clock but never stop trying to score. No lead is safe in college football anymore. I'm sure Pittsburg thought there was no chance they would lose when they were up 31-6 in the 4th quarter today.

Freak please delete this I wouldn't want a recruit to see anything negative like this after a great win!

The only problem I had was letting Dobbs take unnecessary hits. He had already done his job and maybe should have been replaced a little earlier. Other than that a dominating performance that should spring board us into 2015!!!!!
