If I knew all these answers, I would be making 3 mil a year walking the sidelines
Recruiting is only going to pay dividends if that talent is being coached up
We are just as young an inexperienced on the D line and those guys are playing lights out
Why isn't that being reflected in the oline?
I don't share your enthusiasm for the immediate future. We really are at a point where we may only be able to beat Vandy for the rest of the year. If 4-8 is OK with you then continue to love the program thru the Orange colored glasses. After many poor years, a worse record this year is more than just a down year.
This is by far the most pessimistic I've ever seen this forum after a win. They won 45-10 and you'd think it went the opposite way. Look, the offensive line sucks. I get it. That's an issue you're going to have with so many young players. Give them some time and they'll gain the experience they need to be decent. Add in a good QB (Dormady?) and this team will be good in a few years with the way the staff is recruiting. Speaking of them, Tennessee absolutely does not need to fire anyone for quite a few years, unless recruiting obviously starts to fall. The program cannot handle anymore turnover and attrition. So let's all just chill out and watch our young team develop. Go Vols!
Only person being called to be fired is Mahoney that I've seen. I've seen some crazier ones call for Bajakian after last week. But I think most realized Florida's D is just that good and had two weeks to scheme against an already struggling oline.
Woo-hoo!!!! We beat an FCS school!!!!!!!!!!For every other fan base a win against any opponent would be cause to cheer. But not VN. No for some of our fan base a win is still not enough to stop the moaning and whining.

Do you know how many sacks we gave up today? How many rushing yards we had? How about last week? Do you think any of that is an indication of how good or bad we are? How about our O-line? Did you see any progression from those guys today? Do you think our play the past couple of weeks is any indication of how we will play next week? Wait we won! None of this should be of any concern and no one should talk about it. We won!
Dude, this is a discussion forum. Do I really need to go there? And yes, past performances do have a bearing, actually its the bench mark for every position coach to evaluate their players. Its called grading. Its used to evaluate progression and an indicator of regression. Not saying anything of the sort. All I am saying is a win is a win. And that is reason to be a little happy. If you cannot find joy in UT winning a football game then you must be a pretty sad character.
Are there problems? Sure. Do we need to improve? Absolutely. Actually past performances have no bearing on how we will lay next week. I realize the problems but I am going to consider this win a reason to be happy. Feel free to stay in Debbie Downerville though.
