I remember when Opry Mills was Opryland and the Grizzly River Rampage was one of the best water rides in the country.

I think Wabash was my first roller coaster, unless you count the dragon that went around in an oval at Magic World in Pigeon Forge! I wish I could re-experience the joy.

According to the Interwebs, the "Goliath," which I don't think I've ridden, at Six Flags, is an exact replica of the Cannonball. I will investigate!

[edit] Just watched the youtube video. Interwebs are a buncha liars!

my youngest son graduates from high school this Saturday

I remember when Magnum PI, the A Team, and Murder, She Wrote were first-run prime time shows

I've seen ET, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Top Gun, and the original Star Wars trilogy in a theater as they originally appeared

I remember when Kiss unmasked

I've drank New Coke, Pepsi Clear, and Pepsi Free

I remember when Taco Bell's Mexican pizza was called "Pizzazz"

Magnum is still awesome.

You're ancient, how are you still standing?

With crutches at the moment. I needed to have my knee scoped after I wrecked it helping a friend move.

Sucks getting old. But it sure beats the alternative.

there is a rollercoaster at Carowinds that is an almost exact replica of the Wabash Cannonball.

the Cannonball was my first coaster as well, but once you've ridden The Beast at King's Island, no other coaster, wooden or otherwise, compares. (At least until I've ridden the Millennium XL)

I have ridden the Beast, but wooden roller coasters are boring as hell.

It's by far the best wooden roller coaster I've ridden.

Hope you feel better! Do the PT, it helped get me back on the trail in short order. I just turned 50 in April, so I'm not far behind you.

I had the Nick schedule memorized.

My sister and I used to count down the minutes until "Snick."

I would always watch it, but when I would stay the night at my buddy's, I didn't get to watch "Are You Afraid of the Dark," because my friend was, in fact, afraid of the dark.

My brother and I did the same. Loved Snick.

Ren & Stimpy!

My parents let us watch it, but they complained the whole time about the many reasons they shouldn't be letting us watch it. Watching it on YouTube as an adult, I can see why.

Cartoons were so much better back then! Everything is so PC these days... :snoring:

Same here. Also, the show Cat/Dog had some stuff in it that shouldn't have been on a kids TV show.
