For the third straight week, I've woke up on Sunday feeling better about Tennessee football than I did the week before. I did NOT see that coming!!

We're reaching levels of hate and angriness I normally only see from my Latina wife.

I guess southern women and southern, southern women (from South America) are more similar than I realized 🤔

Idk if he’s going to be successful but I want him to be. He doesn’t throw players under the bus even to cover his own ass. I can see why some will run through a wall for him.

I don’t want to get too optimistic. I thought Dooley was the answer when we almost took LSU that one year but this team is very, very young. Pruitt has shown more development of freshmen players in one year than Butch did in most of his time here.

I think Pruitt at least gets time and that’s fair.

Spot on. I feel the exact same way. Which is odd considering we have lost two of our last three games and are on pace to have a historically bad season. LOL. But we are seeing improvement every week by our players. I would’ve added to your list 5. I think we had the best offensive line on the field yesterday. When was the last time we have been able to say that?
Pruitt’s great shortcoming was his inability to recognize how bad of a player jg is. After we lost to ga state and BYU he made the comment that “everyone that’s been around this program knows jg is the best qb”. That was one of the dumbest comments I’d ever heard a coach say. We’ve seen jg play for 3 years and it’s almost impossible hat we have even a single qb on the roster that wouldn’t be better than him if given the opportunity. I’m not so sure that we don’t have receivers and running backs that would be better than Jg if given the opportunity. So I thought I’d never support Pruitt after that debacle. But I find myself liking he guy and feeling as optimistic about the future as I have in a long time. Seeing a bunch of our players develop and come together along with some creative play design and passion out of the coaches has me doing a 180 on this staff. I’m not completely sold yet but feeling a lot better.

I feel the same way it’s taking me a while to like the guy knowing he’s from Bama , but if he keeps showing fight like that I can prol get over it a lot quicker haha

I got on board the Pruitt fan wagon this weekend myself. Yes, he used to be a Bammer, but he had the good sense to leave the dark side and come to the light. When he had HIS players on the field last night, they moved the ball against Bama and had ol' Nicky sweating. I see progress and I believe that given enough time CJP can and will come to be another beloved coach that we are proud to call our own.

And I could be wrong. But I'm like you, Volly. I don't care if he likes cornbread, I don't care if he says "aight" and I don't care how he looks in his shirts. I see progress and a bright future. Now THAT, I care about. GO VOLS!!

It’s got translate to wins but I’ve definitely been encouraged for the first time in probably a decade.

The entire season is on next week, and that’s a big moment for our program from coaches, to players, and fans..

I’m intrigued to see what response is given.

Agreed with you and volleygirl. I have not seen that level of passion and fire in him before... then, getting in JG’s face, benching him and then taking the blame and refusing to throw JG under the bus to the press (though l NEVER want to see him play another down for us... ever) - a very real “coachy” thing to do, running with the player down the sidelines on that long run... man, that fired ME up. I think given the tools and the personnel he can be a good coach and maybe a great coach. Players bought in and played with passion and fire as well... things are looking up on Rocky Top after a truly disastrous first few weeks. We ran with the #1 team in the country for over 50 minutes, y’all!!
