I was expecting 5-7 at best. We looked terrible. What was weird is that in the first half of Georgia State, I made a comment to my Dad that this Tennessee team was executing well and looked better than what I had seen in a while. I ate crow then but I must have saw what happened later. I thought our line play and defense was better than past years. I wish our offensive coaches had been more aggressive with play calling the first two games. We might have won both of those games.

The best way to complete the regular season and heal some of the early season wounds would be to destroy Vanderbilt.

I'm very glad that they were able to turn it around after the fiasco that was the start of the season. I never thought we'd be 6-5 at this point back then, more like 2-9. However, knowing that we should be 8-3 right now does hurt as well.

It was so close the entire game I didn't realize we had over 500 yards of offense until the tv guys mentioned it

BTW, once you get below Georgia and Florida, that is some ugly records. South Carolina, Tennessee, and Vandy all with 2 non-league losses each. Missouri with one as well.
