#32 in Lindys pre-season

Heupel shows absolutely no urgency whatsoever. He has “bestest buddy” syndrome dragging down the OL, we seem to resist upgrading WR (or any other skill position) in the portal, and our recruiting is good, 10-20 in the nation, but hardly elite.

But Heupel seems content. Or if he is feeling a sense of urgency, he is the best I’ve ever seen at disguising it

#32? A bit low, but looking at our roster it isn’t unreasonable.

Just calling it like I see it. If I’m wrong I’ll be back to gladly eat crow.

#32 is a bit low. 21-25 feels about right given everything that’s happened. I’m feeling about 8-4 or 8-5. A bowl win to get to 9-4 would be a great season this year.

Unfortunately, it’s not laughable. In fact, I’d say #32 in being a bit generous. This team will be very similar to Heupel’s first team in ‘21. QB misevaluations & complete lack of movement in the transfer portal have gotten us here. Every other SEC team(at least the relevant ones), have aggressively pursued players in the portal while we’ve just sat on our hands for the most part. It’s baffling.
You think the likes of Illinois and Iowa can play with us?

I think it’d be close, competitive games with each team. Could go either way..
We just fundamentally disagree on how we assess team quality then. I’m not even expecting this years team to be phenomenal or anything. It’s a shame we don’t play them this year to settle our question.
