Maybe because rivals and 247 both say he has huge upside including 247 comparing him to Ebron who just got drafted in 1st rd. He is just moved to TE this summer and is getting all his offers. Once he gets TE game film his bump will come. Barton Simmons has said he will be bumped once the game film backs up the camp tour. We aren't making these things up like you are

So with that and the fact Austin Smith will also likely get bumped, we just pulled in four 4* in 2 days. Pretty solid, even for stargazers imo

How do you get through the day or sleep at night or deal with the anxiety knowing that we got 5 commits in two or three days and only one of them is a clean 4* star sweep. That doesn't sit we'll with me for the moment. If they get a bump then everything changes, but until then, what do we do?

What the hell do you mean, what do we do?
We sit here, on message forums & watch who the coaches want to be on our team weather you like it or not! The coaches will develop these kids & perhaps they are perfect fits to the coaches & teams needs. Maybe let Butch field a team of his players, & then see what these kids can do. I want to be number one on the field vs being number one in some recruiting site.

Oh, & by the way, your opinion, much like mine means absolutely nothing.

There are a lot of variables that play into film. Competition. All the guys that claim to watch film and evaluate these players, I mean, do they really know what they are doing?

They dont like him because he runs mid 4.5s-4.6 and that his competition isnt great. But the dude makes some serious cuts and has great vision. I like him, but I feel that he could be a grayshirt candidate. Im pretty sure he would accept too, because he is a big UT fan.

JUCO. Lots of rumors about his attitude, grades and trouble. Rumored that his offer was pulled. If he makes it in, he is a slot.

Side note. The clips of Cherry in that video were from his sophomore year. His Junior tape is 10 times better with many more brutal hits.

I think a lot of our 3*s that we have are more situational. Remember, they will be behind the guys we got in the previous class.

Smith (LB). Will lay the wood and good in coverage. I think his skillset is identical to Dillon Bates. Reported that he could be the most underrated guy in the class and he is the biggest steal. Every down
Reid (RB). Powerback. Goal line/3rd-4th and short.
Picou (DT). Drives back the OL. Could be every down.
Oliver (TE). Jumpball receiver
Bruce (Slot). Shifty. Screens etc.
Jackson (DE). Bama offered.
Griffin (S). Will lay the wood and good in coverage. Every down.
Woods (Slot). Speedy. Maybe a return guy.
Dormady (QB). The guy that Bama wanted as their QB. Didnt play his Junior year because of an injury but is still a 4* on 247. #5 pro style QB on 247. Reported that he could have the best arm in the class.

So Woody Womack's approval would help Nationdom sleep better than having CBJ's approval? The fact that a Vol fan lost any sleep because of the commits we got this weekend is really troubling. The only people that should be losing sleep over that are rival SEC coaches and fans.

I would just like to say that until any of us have flown or driven to the schools these kids play for and watched them work out, and nunumerous conversations then we don't know a quarter of the story. I myself am not a star slut as I have seen many high ranked kids flop. I have seen many low ranked kids excel. Anyway, these kids have not even played their senior seasons so to all the star sluts, hold your horses and quit f'n whining. It's sickening. Sounds like my 6 year old.

Most people have our qb as a 4 star. Kid is top notch. He's only ranked low because he missed last season with an injury.

Picou is a 4 star on 247.

And incase you're unaware, they don't rank kickers or long snappers as 4 or 5 stars.

exactly this^^ no one cried when jalen hurd missed his senior season and his ranking slipped a little, Kamara was a five star our of HS and Dormandy missed last season with an injury or your coveted 247 and rivals would have him in the top 100. You gotta do homework man, after one camp with Alabama he was offered, and likewise with Tennessee. That shows that this kid can ball out of his mind. I think if anything I would be worried zero about this staffs ability to recruit. Now we get to see this fall how well they can coach these kids and get results on the field.

You can't look at film as a "good play vs. bad play" perspective. You have to be able to see deeper into the film. Some people can evaluate film, some can't.
