Don’t know who “us” is but if you’re referring to Tennessee that sounds so dumb when the LVs have two top 2026 recruits committed right now in Oliviyah Edwards and Gabby Minus.
You think this player little recruiting list takes away from having the no.2 recruit in 2026 committed and a Top 50 recruit who team is about to win a state championship in HS.
The jokes write themselves no wonder the only like on your post comes from a message forum comedian… understandably. 😂😂😂…

Could there be any correlation between the historically bad High School recruiting and this "dumpster fire" ?

Try to keep up. That was several years and several disasters ago. Also the reason we got a new coach in 2024.

The old disaster got fixed quickly and impressively by the new staff when they brought in very highly ranked high school and portal recruiting classes. That turned out to be fools gold as a new disaster developed after the recruits got here. Their development got stunted by a totally unrealistic philosophy, crazy chopped up game minutes, a staff who was notoriously weak on X's and O's and in game adjustments, and most of all complete culture collapse.

Got fixed with one recruiting class ? Do all freshmen prosper their first year ? Do you miss on some freshmen regardless of their rating. Is their a risk in depending on transfers every year.
Do you hit on some transfers ( Samara Spencer ) and miss on others ( Nya, Wolf ) ?

I think I'm caught up...

Yes I'd say the problem of not being able to sign players from high school got fixed with top 5 recruiting class.

The rest of the problems you mention are development not recruitment. And I agree this staffs development of young players has not been good. Probably because they insist on a system that's wildly unfriendly for young players who need extended playing time to get in a rhythm

I mean it wasn’t off to a roaring start to begin with. Several of our targets had already taken us off their list, I know Eve and Haylen had visited a few times, but we didn’t even make top 5. Smith had interest but hasn’t scheduled one of her many visits with us yet. We’ll see what can they salvage.
