I know he had a good game against us a couple of years ago, but he is nowhere near the caliber we need to be our starting PG.

I agree. I’m just not sure that’s what we would be asking for him to do. Feels like with his experience and production he will probably want starting SG money and minutes.

As BTN said, it can be sold to him as minutes played. If the kid is getting 25+ minutes and is a key rotation piece on a team with FF4 aspirations, that should be enough.

For me I guess it's Estrella, I just don't think Cade is anything worth getting worked up about.

Philips to Bama, for me. Can’t really blame Estrella for ring chasing, but a player going to a rival is pretty much unforgivable, though I wouldn’t say it’d make me angry or anything, I don’t really care that much

You mean sack chasing. He’s gonna get more from them than we were willing to pay. Also JP foot is still an issue we can’t be handicapped by that next year like this past one

From this list just based on available video available I like Johnson and Blyden better than others based on my untrained eye. Plus both are frosh, so have upside. The others are fine to one degree or another. Money is intriguing with his size and flair.

Ames seems to be a good combo guard and frankly I kinda like having 2 good ball handlers on the court at the same time. Hill from VCU likewise. Chandler and Zeigler gave people problems.

I think this is fair. A Vandy mod posted that he felt, with 100% confidence, that the people around Tanner want him at Vanderbilt.

This feels like a case of an agent playing games to drive up the price Tanner gets from Vandy.

No one has put their name out there to lend credence to the talk on here. He hasn't entered the portal.

Just feels like we should move on to other targets. Don't want to be caught out. Tons of good players out there!

Driving up the price for vandy is also a good outcome. Not the best, but not bad at all either.

I'll be honest...if I'm with Cade and his people I'm suggesting strongly he looks for a stepdown where he can start and play more minutes that's closer to home. Why leave TN to go to Bama for probably the same or less NIL/minutes?

He should have 2 years left (assuming he can medical RS this one). UAB, Troy, or Samford ball out against easier competition while you get that shoulder to 100% then next year go chase one final bag.
