These have become their peak earning years and nothing else matters....and that includes championships.

Fans need to adjust as well. Players are nothing more than mercenaries. I value the program and my alma mater not the names on the jerseys. They are now replaceable pieces nothing more.

It is just the world they find themselves in. I think most players would much rather play for their favorite team, but how can you pass up hundreds of thousands of dollars to go to the "other" school? I wouldn't, and I don't think most folks on here would, if they were being honest.

I'm saying this, and I have been a lifelong Vol fan, and really don't have a second team. When the rubber meets the road, almost everyone will follow the money.

Next year's class is weaker, and he may be better positioned in that draft. Kennedy Chandler is a similar story, and we see how that turned out. He'll be able to make more money this year in college than the bottom of the first or second round pick contract he'd get from the NBA this year.

Agree. Btw, Chandler had 31 points, 7 boards, 8 assists and 2 steals for the tanking Utah Jazz, last night

Staff know exactly how JP fits into our style of play and were going to continue to use him that way. It is JP that wasn't sure until playing for a full season under Barnes.

That's the first time I've heard of that. I had only read that teams are offering him basically double what the Vols are.
