2026 Vols Transfer Portal Thread

Maryland paying Boswell around 2 mill is actually insane
Good for Boz. He can defend be a situational point and “catch & shoot”. However, he didn’t show the ability to create his own shot very much. Maryland has the style of play that he will need to dribble drive and finish at the rim, kick out, or step back for a 3 or long two. I just don’t think this is fitting his skill set.

Boz will give 1000% effort every play and if he can develop to create his own shot…he will be a good player for Maryland and I wish him well. I really liked him at Tennessee.

I’m pretty impressed by how well thought out this plan was! Executed to perfection it seems. I’m intrigued by your comment about “skipping participation by our AD.” Honestly, an effective AD who has the right coach should exile himself or herself from the process.
UK has a very active AD that inserts themselves in every decision and believes they are the brokers of all interested parties. That’s not working this year. In the Calipari days, he demanded full control. They got it back. Careful what you wish for.

Have you heard anything on if we have interest in Alex Wilkins? No one I know has anything on that…just as a fan he looks like a possible consolation prize instead of TT…

So I guess you all are putting Dai Dai on the bench based on the portal ratings?

Juke - 4th rated On3 Industry (average of them and 247 rankings)
Hill Jr - 24th rated
Haralson - 38th rated
Lundblade - 73rd rated
Rubin - 90th rated
Dai Dai - 97th rated

Hmmm I wonder if the mystery PG is Blyden….don’t think I’ve heard much about his recruitment up this point, which I find weird.

I was just looking at uncommitted PGs and saw him....can't find a direct tie to him. He did get offers from MTSU & Chattanooga but signed to play for Toledo without taking any OVs outta HS. Have to think someone has him in the "just wait" boat right now. True FR played 34 games, started 32 and averaged 33.4 mpg shooting 46%FG, 40%3PT, 85%FT and a 16ppg, 4rpg, 4.5apg, with 1.8spg and under 2 turnovers?

No way that guy hasn't heard or visited unless it was by design.

Would be hilarious since he's at Kentucky now. Seems they are hoping for Wilkins and Cruz Davis. They are already in freak out mode since Freeman decided to go through with his UConn visit.
Not sure why any top portal player would choose Kentucky over schools like UConn or Arkansas.

Ok. I made a statement earlier that I hadn’t heard anything about TT with the caveat that I don’t have the same insider connections inside Tennessee that I once did. However, I do have connections that are good in Middle, Tennessee.

I honestly believe after what I heard today that there is a substantial chance that TT will come to Tennessee. You have to assume unless it’s a first hand account, that the information people get is not always complete and there are missing pieces. However, from what I’ve been told, this is a Tennessee or NBA situation. I would be very surprised if he is back at Vanderbilt. Take it for what it’s worth.

We have several posters on here with really good connections, and this matches up with what they have said.

Interesting...247 has Hill as their 5th best PG and Dai Dai as the 12th best. Blyden Jr is 17th... they also have Mack ahead of him at 16.

On3 has Blyden Jr as the 9th best PG, Dai Dai is 19th best and Hill is listed as the 8th best SG

Yeah Blyden has been my want for PG,if we don't get TT which is not looking great right now.

Yeah... Juke AND a true PG might shuffle things around...but even then to me the most likely SG is still Dai Dai

Hill = less experience, weaker conference, less starts
Lundblade = weaker conference, more one dimensional offense

I think Dai Dai having all his experience in the Big 12 & ACC is extremely valuable and being overlooked a bit.

Juke I hope is playing the 3 spot with 2 good ball handling guards at the 1/2
I disagree. A10 is a pretty good conference still, and I think Hill was pretty much better than Ames across the board. I like Ames, but I like Hill a lot better. Here are some numbers against top 100 comp for each:1776349731055.png
