2026 Vols Transfer Portal Thread

Hot take (maybe) but assuming I'm right that we aren't paying a ton for him, IMO the ROI on Washington will far exceed what we got from Nate.

IF we get Washington for a 2nd season I might agree with this.

I think he's being undersold for what he can do, was watching some of his highlights and his lower body is huge already...he can get up to dunk or block shots. If they can add some size/strength on his upper body like they did with Nate and help him fill out he'll be on the court sooner rather than later for us. Plus him and Scott facing one another in practice with the potential to also have Haralson and Juke?! Goodness those scrimmages will be much watch TV by themselves!

Wonder if Barnes would take both Cruz and Edmead...interesting to see each is on our list and played together at Hofstra.

Both can score and distribute, Cruz has more size and a better defensive game...but Edmead has 3 years left and more upside...
I love Cruz but after watching highlights Edmead looks just like Zeigler with his game just a little taller. Love to have both!

What about Cruz Davis. He would be a terrific PG pickup from Hofstra.
I see where it probably wouldn't be practical, but in order to avoid the Rice situation of last year I wish they could pursue Tyler Tanner, Cruz Davis, and Leroy Blyden simultaneously from the get-go. And then take the first one that wants to commit since I think any of those three would be final four quality PGs. Just daydreaming and worrying about waiting too long for Tanner to decide.

Good passer, good shooter, gets to the rim. Doesn't seem to provide a ton defensively. We can do worse. Id take him over Mack. He and Money Williams are very similar. Both lefties, too.

Just dreaming about all the buckets Tanner, Juke, Hill, Ames, Haralson, and Lundeblade would give teams. No way that wouldn’t be a top 3 offense next year lol
If we can just get a top 15 offense with no drop off on defense we are a final four team lol

🤣🤣🤣 this turned quickly!
He ticked me off today. The more I see people that feel the same and the more he gets snarky when people prove him wrong or call him out after he denies saying something, I’ve just had enough. I guess Im noticing it more, dude turns everything into being about him. “I said this and ____got mad at me”, etc etc etc.

Bingo. That's what a narcissist does.

I will say...one thing about Money or more Montana is they try to play some quality teams. And he seems to rise to the occasion more than he gets exposed.

30 vs us last year
30 at UNLV this year
25 at Utah State last year
22 at Texas A&M this year
19 at Stanford this year

Most his down games were tied to lack of volume/minutes...
didn't play well at Louisville, but only took 6 shots. Struggled against Wisconsin in NCAA but only took 8 shots.

Official Trilly commitment prediction to the good guys for both Haralson and Washington
Land both of them would mean 11 guys in the boat and then your down to 2 open spots with 4 potential ones if walk ons are not coming back for spots 14 and 15 as @bleedingTNorange has mentioned. Gotta think landing Tanner, Hill, Juke, and then Massamba coming back or walk on would be the best finish you could possibly hope for.

Henderson/Clark
Ames/Burg/Green
Lundblade/Washington
Haralson/Scott
Rubin/Brown

I just think ultimately we didn’t get that much out of Nate, especially considering the investment.

I also think it’s highly likely based on past experience that they’ll add a ton of size and strength to CW, who’s already thicker and WAY more explosive than Nate was.

Any other bigs we are seriously going after or are we waiting on Juke, Tanner, Harelson, and Hill so we know how much money we have? I know Najai Hines was a name but haven’t heard it a lot recently but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything. He would be my favorite big right now. @bleedingTNorange @Stoerner Fumbles

Statistically speaking...Nate's been the best true freshmen since Allan Houston.
