Offensively it is, but Boswell isn't in the same solar system as Mashack as an on-ball defender and all around defensive playmaker. Evans has the potential to be that as well as a guy who can score 12-14 a game in a variety of ways. I'd really hate to lose any of the freshmen that contributed this season, but to me Evans and Brown are the two must-keeps of the group.

Yeah he’s not on same level defensively but Mashack only played 9 minutes per half his soph year and has some size Boswell doesn’t.
I think people are thinking a lot about senior Mashack when comparing soph Bishop. Jmo.

To me, Boswell's defense is overrated. He isn't close to Mashack. In fact, I think Evans profiles as more like Mashack with a higher offensive potential.

Boswell has been a borderline bad defender in some of our biggest games this season. He gets cooked on ball more than almost anyone I’ve seen suit up for us at guard in the last 5 years.

Agree. I’ve thought that about Evans all year. It’s extremely important to retain him.
