I disagree. Travis Stephens wasn’t anything special until his 5th year. His ball carrier vision improved and everything finally came together for him in his final season.
Stephens absolutely flashed potential throughout his career. Peyton Lewis doesn’t have Travis Henry and Jamal Lewis in front of him.

Bishop is a good man of faith that is patient with good balance. Not great at anything. He’s a good, solid back. I would put him behind Wright, Kelly, Kamara, Lane, Hardesty, Coker, Riggs, Gray, Chandler. Better though than Marlin Lane, Ramon Neal, Small.
Man of faith puts him at no. 2? Be careful!

Completely biased but I want the hometown hero, Bishop. Once he went over the top this year plus considering how hard he runs… I’m sold.

People always talk about wanting players who love the program and tradition. Well Bishop is him.

I want him with the rock in his hand as much as possible.
He will need help or he will get hurt like Sampson did. P.Lewis should move to LB for some reason he hasn't been able to use his speed in the running or passing game. We definitely need a older running back out of the portal. The freshman showed good signs this year he should be better next year. If Bey was staying he could play running back .

Lewis looks better to me than to some who post about him. He moves fast and gets those extra yards after contact. On third and short, I like to see him get the call. That guy is hard to stop.

Bishop just rushed for 1000 yards (almost) so he is good. We definitely need a faster back with good hands to compliment him and Lewis isn't that. May be Duane Morris can step up or may be a good guy shows up in portal. We are taking 20+ kids in portal due to 105 limit this year so room for all.
Pretty sure he hit 1k

With Star Thomas being out of eligibility ...

Wait - if Star Thomas fails his courses this year, can't he get 'left back'? That would mean an extra year of eligibility, right??

No way you saw that off his limited playing. He hardly played at all, especially to tell that.
So, you don't know what I saw yet you call me out on it. You obviously didn't see the carries I saw, which were not just the regular season games. Let's just leave it at that.

I’ve seen this said a couple of times and disagree. Doesn’t take long to see he has great feet going back to HS. In limited time, he made a couple one foot cutbacks our other RBs haven’t shown.
Literally when coaches go to these camps and evaluate, they see things in 1 minute which make them interested or turn them off.
Of course we will have to see it but some tools to work with are there. Hope he’s rb2 next year.

Stephens and Henry were a fantastic 1-2 punch in 98 after Lewis went down. Sure Stephens didn't have the attempts that Henry did. But he was pretty terrific when called upon.

Peyton Lewis still has plenty of time to improve, is the comparison I am trying to make.

I would love to see us go back to using a fullback in the running back scheme and even some pro set and eye formation
The fullback in the I formation is extinct as a regular formation. Occasionally you will see it in short yardage situations with a DL or TE lined up, but even high schools in the south have largely abandoned it.
