Who said we only need 2? Came up with that on your own.
Your exact response was to roll with Mac if we couldn’t get Joey back. Let him be a “manager “. There was zero mention in your post of rolling with more than 2 QBs. Whether that meant adding a depth piece or other wise. I didn’t really come up with anything.

Yes. Roll with Mac vs go pay 3-4 mil for a portal QB. Use the money elsewhere. I didn’t say anything about not picking a QB up. You concocted that on your own. I just don’t think we need to be out here paying top dollar in the QB bidding wars. We have plenty of needs elsewhere.

Joey has great chemistry with everyone but I believe we’ve seen his ceiling…of course if we can make a positive step change on D then his ceiling could get us to 10-2.

No QB we get is going to fare any better if we don't get the defense fixed.

A QB that is not as good as Joey was for us, will make things worse IF the defense doesn't get better.

Definitely - we don’t fix the D and we’ll struggle to be 6-6

That he came in 182-185; now between 195 and 200 (or more). Has 8 months to put on another 10 or more.

I apologize for taking a rude tone; edited it back.
I really didn't take it rude more just matter of fact from your spot. Takes a lot to offend me.

I hope you're right. And I thought Heupel needed to put Gmac out there this year. Why waste downs on Merk when CJH knew good and well he wasn't the guy and wasn't gonna be. I just don't get it.

I want Macintyre and if it's not Macintyre then I want Brandon and if it's not Brandon then whatever, what does it matter at that point?

Oh - and I will add - I know some folks are super into getting Aguilar back, but I don't think you'll do any better with him next year than you did this year. He's good - and I have zero complaints about him being the guy this year - but those underthrows and late throws will continue to be intercepted by defenses. He made them all year; the early teams just didn't quite have the talent to punish them. Remember that one really REALLY late deep ball he floated in the ETSU game? Matthews just beat the ETSU guy for it - which he should have - but the announcers even said "you don't throw that." Point is, those throws were there all year. People just didn't want to see them. And he is good, but those throws will cost you possession and games. If you don't have the defense to overcome those turnovers, then ... well ...
He put almost 400 yards on Georgia. How many guys did that this year or the last five years?

And we know this how? What freshman has he started here?
Sorry. First time starters. Nico was ok. Not elite. The lesser hyped but proven can play at a d1 level qb’s have always done better in CJH system. There is a reason freshman dont start usually and its due to CJH wanting something more.

Or he could just hate underclassmen but I dont think that is it.

Some of these comments and votes are "the QB that has not played is always better" syndrome. If we can get back someone who racked up over 3000 yards, they are absolutely the starter.

How do you know GMac isn’t ready? Oh that’s right you don’t.
Oh, the old “how do you know, you don’t” thing.

GMAC was given very minimal snaps, nothing in the bowl game like someone should have that will be the starter.

Go back and read my post, I literally said he hasn’t given the staff any faith and that’s all I need to know.

The problem is he's not gained any weight which was expected. None of us knows how much or how dedicated he's been to the task at hand.
Some kids can't gain weight. I gained 22 lbs in 6 years of school eating 4k to 5k calories a day. I couldn't gain.
