OKC is 8-0 in these playoffs without J Will and the 2nd apron is coming for them. Feels like OKC's gotta make a Godfather deal with the Bulls for that #4 pick. Bulls have so much cap space and can absorb just about any number. Can the Bulls say no to J Will, Dort, #12, and #17?

Why would the Bulls do that? Seems like they are finally willing to start a rebuild.

The five most interesting teams to me this offseason:

1) Cavaliers
2) Lakers
3) Pistons
4) Magic
5) Pelicans

Everyone is going to talk LeBron and the Cavs, but what really hurt Cleveland (outside of the Harden offense no show) is how atrocious their perimeter defense was all playoffs. The Knicks had a 61.1% TS this series and a 58.5% eFG.

They cannot make a true run with a Harden/Mitchell backcourt. Even if they traded Allen for another 3&D wing.

Thry might not but it would be because the value is overwhelming.

They have chosen to stay mediocre again and again over rebuilding. I don't think they actually wanted a tear down, they just kept failing. This trade would make them a playoff team with two solid rookie prospects. They can go with Caleb Wilson and hope he doesn't flop. They can hope he fits well with Giddy, which he probably doesn't. Or they can build a roster that maximizes Giddy and Matas, gives them a new best player who is still improving, and 2 prospects instead of 1.

Cavaliers are super expensive, they aren't built for title contention, Harden is most likely picking up that $42m player option, and despite the fact that they don't control their 1st round pick until 2030, trading Mitchell is probably their best move.

Mobley can do more with the ball, but he's never going to reach his full potential playing with two lead-ball handling guards. Get as much as you possibly can for Mitchell. You're probably still in playoff contention for the next few years, and you can at least see what you have in Mobley.
