2026 Midterm Thread

I'm fine with voter ID. I'm just not obsessed with it nor do I think not having it contributes to any sizeable amount of fraud like Trump wants you to believe.
What's worse: One American citizen not being allowed to vote because of ID, or one illegal alien voting because they don't need to produce one?

An American not being allowed to vote. But I don't lose sleep over any of it. Conspiracy nutters will..the old "election was rigged" nonsense.

You’re close to the crux of the issue, but your proportions are off. I believe I read the other day that the prevalence of voter fraud was 0.003%. So, the question should really be: what’s worse, thousands of American Citizens not being allowed to vote, or one person voting illegally?

Fake an emergency to enact illegal tariffs.

Fake an emergency to try to enact an illegal federal takeover of elections.

Am I the only one who thinks we need much longer terms for office if we are ever going to get anything serious accomplished, especially in terms of debt?

Im for yearly performance reviews.

Each year every member of congress would have a recall vote.

You get in and immediately start campaigning.

I would almost guarantee you that if elected for a 10 year term most would immediately start campaigning (fund raising).

I’ve never been on board with term limits for senate and congress, but if balanced with significantly longer terms, I’d be open. Two 8 year terms. Maybe the same for president or 6.

No.

I couldn’t imagine seeing Trump 2.0 or Biden running around the White House in their depends for 8 years.

Issues like the debt will require temporary economic downturns that with annual reviews would just lead to annual removal for anyone attempting to fix the problem.

If you think both are equally bad it’s no different having 2 people in the WH over 16 years than it is to have 1 person

145,000,000 voters in 2024 election x .003% equals 435,000 fraudulent votes in the last election.

Rachel Maddow looks like she's going to ask for your manager to complain and then ask her out on a date afterwards. I bet she's running out of space for new bumper stickers on her Subaru. With zero makeup it looks like your idol is the female(?) version of Jeffery Epstein.

Your post suggests you know here very well, I don't, So whose idol is she, REALLY?:cool::cool:
