I still wonder if Wolfenbarger (LSU) or Montague (Miss. St.) might be options. It’s starting to feel like Janiah or bust as far as post players go.
Really curious who the staff is pursuing.
I don’t see the vision with Wolfenbarber. Kim M didn’t really play her in either game vs TN last season. The pace seemed to be too much. Not sure if she has the athleticism/speed CKC is looking for.I still wonder if Wolfenbarger (LSU) or Montague (Miss. St.) might be options.
I saw that Morgan Lee, 6'5" center out of Marist entered the portal. Haven't seen her play so can't speak to her ability to play at the P4 level, but 7.7 boards and 2.4 blocks last season and a career 33% 3-point shooter as a post.
Tabitha Amaze, 6'4" forward out of Princeton also just hit the portal today. Former top-50 ESPN Hoopgurlz player who I think has been slowed down by injuries in college but could be worth a look. Her per-40 minute steals (2.3) and blocks (2.5) this past season were great.
Started her career at Butler and averaged 7 and 2 then it looks like she took and entire year off and went the NAIA route. Be a great get for a non-P4 team imo.Well, if we want another 5-7 guard!
Lol, in all seriousness though, I would be interested to see how those numbers translate to D1. Don't know if we'll pursue, but it would be interesting if we did!
I actually did a little research about her. But evidently she doesn't shoot the 3 very much at all. So at her size she is putting up some FGAs to score well over 30 ppg and none of those points are coming from the 3pt line. Surprising. But, with that being said, I don't think she would be a fit regardless if her game would translate to D1 or moreso the SEC.Things that make you go….hmmmm
I like pranksters has right to post false sportsCoach Yo is a disaster online. That's all I have to add.
Check this outHerHoopStats doesn't process her NAIA year(s?) but it does process her Big East All-Freshman Team season in 2022-23, and... she was the best player on that team according to their analytics.
Best Player Efficiency Rating on the team (albeit, that's an 11-19 Butler team) and Best Offensive Rating, and almost The Best Defensive Rating as well.
Shot 40% (only 25 attempts) for 3, and shot 81% from the free throw stripe in that season.
This most season, shot 3s at a 44% in conference (15-34), had the 4th most defensive rebounders in her conference, 6th in assists-to-turnover ratio (which seems like an oddly arbitrary stat to me, lol), 2nd in steals, and 1st in pts/40, so her scoring isn't just a high shot volume issue, she is a very high scoring rate player.
This was the first vid I found of her, if someone wants to see some of her play. White team #14.
