Safe to say these days anyone looking to transfer has plenty of info on all the potential landing spots. They have teams and agents, nothing is left to chance of catching a random game on tv.
They have endless stats and numbers.

Some here want to have it both ways, have the most specialized, innovative and unique system ever known yet still want it to be everyone’s exact cup of tea. A lot of players dont want to play a lot of styles - too defense oriented, too fast, too slow,etc. It’s not a freaking insult to the beloved system.

Didn’t help sell the system that she mismanaged their bodies this year. Understandable mistake and I believe she’ll work on it, but that has to give pause.

So is the player Texas signed their starter in the SEC? If so, that’ll be interesting seeing as though her numbers are nearly identical to Spearman playing about 3 more minutes per game.
Seems like she would be consider a role player if that’s what one person here consider our players, right?
Also what were Oldacre stats in the two games they played Tennessee?
Nothing rich about it.

I was thinking the same thing. Old Vic’s gonna go to his grave w the big girls down low. He loves him some air craft carriers. Oldacre improved so much this year.

Dang the SEC gets tougher every damn day.

She will be a lot better playing for him than she was in Arizona. He will make sure she gets the ball a lot. Their combo of Oldacre and Cunningham will be the best inside duo in the SEC next season.

Team World in the Nike Hoop Summitt is making a comeback but there’s something to be said about Team USA having several Top 10 players and not a single player standing out in an All-Star game. This list needs to be reordered to reflect the ability of players.

Not even watching Prawl not playing no interest in the game for that reason. Hopefully she will be able to play in a game I think the 17th.

Holy smokes! How does one take enough shots to score 14, 16, then 18 points per game while shooting a Rec League FG%. I have seen no film and and am not making any major indictments on her as a player. I just find it interesting that at no point has she not realized "hmmmm....maybe I shoot the ball too much considering how few times it goes in the basket."

Thats the right way to look at it in some respects but our worst game IMO was at Kentucky. I would have used that as an example. In other respects, maybe we just got beat. Maybe on that day UK was clicking, and we were off, Maybe Strack had her best game all year. If someone was watching USCe playing UCONN would they say you know that system Dawn runs can get you blown out. I mean IMO it's easy to say the system is at fault but it's still basketball with humans that have good games/days and not so good games/days, if you're winning over 20 and finishing in the Top 20 your system is working for your team. Whether it be a slower D oriented style using a lot of clock or whatever. There are numerous systems out there and some work well with the right personnel and some are missing a player or 2 to make a system work. In the end its still 5 on 5 basketball no different rules for different systems its basketball some are overthinking it. You try to assemble a team that fits your style of play. Get in the tournament with the goal to host and then it's about matchups.

Yep. That's why I used the example of the Georgia game, because it made the fact that the team's bodies were exhausted undeniably, painfully obvious to everyone who saw any of it. I literally cringed several times during that game. Ugh.

I've not watched her play either, but I have saw many players that become the alpha on mediocre teams. The other 4 players defer to the one to shoot. It may still be their best option, and coach knows that and lets her or him take those contested shots.

I don't think we would really go into a season with Spearman and Latham as our only two big players would we? I have to think were going to pick up some big player that can help in there. Just seems unlikely to me that we would try to go into a season with just those two inside players.

SMU was really terrible she had the ball in her hands alot and guess she had to take shots she wouldn't take on a better team. I have to believe that is what was happening.
