2025 Transfer Portal

I am wondering if they are sitting back and surveying who is going where to begin and letting the first dominos fall. With these big movements to top teams, it may cause a ripple effect where some of those programs players might see the writing on the wall and leave.
I really think a few from SC will be leaving still, there’s no way all those players want to ride the pine. Lots of talent on that team.

No the focus isn’t on what other teams are doing. They know the roster they have returning and have thoroughly observed/scouted the incoming freshmen to start to assess what needs to be done to achieve their goals for next season. It’s what Coach Caldwell just explained in her interview. From CKC, sounds like they have targets. I’m certain they have future visits scheduled for her to sound assertive in directly stating the transfer portal class will be part of the discussion right now on what the expectations are for next season and how they will reach their goals.
The one thing at this moment that is driving speculation is that there’s no leaks which for a group of fans is causing the assumption of there’s issues with recruiting/players not liking the system etc. All which is kind of bogus it’s only April 10th.
I believe relaxing would do a portion of the fanbase so much good.

14?? Did she know it?? I don't think something like that would be tolerated. Not even at UConn .

Not only was it tolerated it was swept under the rug.

Big reason she had a significantly reduced role on the team this season. All happened right at the beginning of the season.

I get what you’re saying that was an impressive interview. It also was not only honest but clearly factual dialogue between Mike Keith and Coach Caldwell. Actually I would say that despite the temperament of this forum there has never been a reason to
not feel good about this team/program heading into 2025-2026.
Just watched the video and it was awesome, hopefully all goes as planned. Looking forward to this season. One more thing she is going to get portal players.

First, I loved the interview. Second, I’m not sure how much more info was gleaned from that interview than what we have heard on here. DeerPark stated a lot of what was said about the freshman and the thought process there. I think we all figured we would sign a transfer class, and anyone that Kim wanted would be a dawg. Did I miss something else? I guess for those worried that we wouldn’t sign any transfers that interviewed let them know we would.
Also I liked averaging 97 points a game instead of 87 points. Says wants to get 10 more points a game than this year and be top 5

Reputable sauces…. 😆🤙🏼
Yes, take it with a grain of salt, I did see the discussion on Twitter and there were screenshots of DMs along with video call screenshots. Now I guess someone could fabricate all of that (doubtful), but it looked suspicious.

Either way I’m glad she’s off the team. I read rumblings that she did not get along well with the rest of the team. Honestly I think it’s extremely telling she almost never showed up in the team’s official IG posts.

Generally, with those types of issues, if it’s smoking, there are embers of truth that need to be exposed. I doubt QS winds up at a major program. Hard to tell though.

Anytime she was posted she got absolutely flamed in the comments by UConn fans so it was smart of them not to post her much. Not a good look for the program.

I imagine that there are a lot of factors are related to missing on some of the top transfers. It may be partially style of play, mass subbing, and wanting to play for a coach that has won national championships. NIL is likely a major factor as well for some. I imagine that we parceled out a bigger chunk of NIL than most schools to finally get such a great high school recruiting class, so we may not have that left to compete with the top few schools this Spring. I do think we need some big transfers, but I wonder this year if we are competitive with SC, LSU, and Uconn and a few others this Spring with our remaining money for WBB. Schools like South Carolina and Uconn don't seem to have a competitive NIL and tradition in football to get the top recruits, where it has come out that the main reason that LSU is doing so poorly in MBB is their NIL is way under most other SEC schools despite being more competitive in other sports. You have to figure out how to best spread it around. UT being so good and popular in so many sports is great but that could complicate the ceiling for WBB NIL spending compared to schools that have major support for one or two sports. I imagine you have to look at the entire pie for all sports when figuring out what is going on, specific info we just don't have. Today for example, The Vols QB Nico is in reported negotiations to even further raise his reported (Sports Animal) $2,000,000+, following the lead of several other football players. At some point, there is only so much money. Meanwhile, I do hope Kim finds some players to help us in the post and 3-point shooting. They don't have to be all-stars, just contributors.

You know, I'm a LVFL like so many of so, but right now, I feel, the staff really needs to throw us a bone or two...over the last 2-3 days, we seen so many great portal transfers built a natty threat too so many teams that are already very good...this has been tough [to say the least]...LadyVol fans want to eat too 😋...give us a little bit of air before the weekend, please 🙏 👀 LVFL 🧡💙🏀💙🧡

It made the evening news in Nashville tonight that Nico may be looking for about $4 million for the coming year. If they give him that, how much more do they have to give some of the other players? You could put a really good WBB team together for less than $4 million.

I'm no expert on NIL (and don't want to be!), but does all of UT's NIL money come out of the same pot?
