2025 Transfer Portal

Ole miss needs scoring she’d fit with them and us..playing in the sec would probably help upping her game but money talks and players like yo

Yeah but why leave Ohio State which has been to the EE just to play on a team that might lose in the first two rounds of the NCAA tourney? Not going to improve her draft stock doing that.

IMO she goes to UT, Maryland or North Carolina.

Cotie hinted it’s not team ball at Ohio state..for all we know she’s the last piece coach yo needs for upcoming season and playing in the sec will make cotie better we have the best league🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m not all in the know about picks but I’ve never heard North Carolina or Maryland in her interests only us,Kentucky, and ole miss

Juco ruling which gives back eligibility back to junior college players.
Collectives and coaches look to get payments on this year books before the revenue sharing officially kicks in.
From article about.

This well be last transfer portal period before salary cap and third party monitoring of NIL
The last sentence is my take
Agree on the cap. Not sure what they will call it but I see an NFL type cap with a set amount each team can spend on NIL. It will be legally challenged is why I'm saying it may have to be something else but similar. I think it will be good for the sport to have one.

I think you're right on all of those, but also Baylor is on her list.

You can cap profit sharing but you can't cap NIL. Trying to cap NIL will bring on many more lawsuits for sure. The over site for NIL will be hammered if they try to deny or drang out approval.

Elina Aarnisolo in the portal out of ucla. She was really nice for them as a freshman this season. Good pickup for any team. Young player with great ball control.
This one surprises me. Close seemed to trust her, especially when she got lots of experience while Rice was out early in the season. She'd be behind Rice (and I guess Jones) again next year but seems like she'd be ready to take over for her junior and senior seasons.

Edit: I guess I forgot Charlisse will be back next year, too. That might bury her a little deeper in the rotation. I would guess that one of their posts will transfer, too, with Sienna Betts coming in and no one graduating.

I wonder if she wants to go somewhere she feels she can play more right away. Iowa needs a point guard. Indiana needs...everything.

She would be great at Indiana, her game is a little like Grace Berger. With the right guidance she could be a utility knife occasional triple double player.

If the program that signs Del Rosario out of the portal is lucky, she'll be on a mission to prove to everyone that she should never have been recruited over. She appears to have a lot of potential, but my impression of her to this point is that she needs a little more giddyup in her game. She may have needed this wake-up call to take her conditioning and energy level up a few notches. Kinda like what happened to Aliyah Boston after that season at SC ended on that heartbreaking miss. She got serious and got busy transforming herself before the next season, and won the natty.

Kellie was after her when she was at Webb ! Maybe a pick up ? She still has two years . 🤷‍♂️

That's what that third party is in charge of monitoring and enforcement of more than $600 NIL isn't just playing players to play.
Ten conferences have agreed to the cap .
In the agreement I read a few articles any deals over $600 must be approved as fair market value advertising or appearance fee's.
Like Texas A&M was giving money to walk-ons football
is done.
Any university's paying all players a set amount in NIL deal
Would go against the cap. If third party monitoring said it's basically pay for play.
I also read university's are hiring people to manage what their paying to their players the value in their cap spending.

Del Rosario was a run off I bet Mulkey could not wait to get her transportation out of town. One recruiting win for Mulkey that Harper is glad she lost. She will get another shot, but she is not the highly rated player that she was made out to be.

Yeah regressed a lot since last year and just doesn’t seem to have a motor to get better. Someone will pick her up but she’ll be downgrading teams for sure.

Could actually be really good for Kellie NOW at MIZZOU.

I heard that Cotie's asking price is at least 300K. She allegedly turned down a couple of 250K and 275K offers.

Eh she’s gonna have a hard time finding a good team willing to pay that much for her. Most are looking for 2-3 and aren’t gonna drop that much on one player who only averages 4 boards.

Ink won’t dry and there will be a temporary injunction to shut down any type of cap without a collective bargaining agreement in place and representation for the athletes.

There is no cap. That $600 figure is the threshold for review.

"Wilken granted preliminary approval to the proposed settlements in October. She is set to hold a final-approval hearing on April 7 concerning the agreements, which would include nearly $2.8 billion in damages that would go to current and former athletes over 10 years. They also would allow Division I schools to start paying athletes directly for use of their name, image and likeness (NIL) during the 2025-26 school year, subject to a per-school cap that would increase over time and be based on a percentage of certain athletics revenues."

You may be talking about this article and the paragraph I've italicized above. I don't like how its written. The cap the author refers to is the payment directly from schools--thats the $20.5M revenue piece thats going directly from schools to the athletes.

The NIL piece, between third parties and athletes, is a separate and distinct piece that is subject to Deloitte review. There is no cap on that.
