2025 Transfer Portal

They picked a side now stay there!

It’s really crazy now all of a sudden that Janiah has committed all these rumors are hitting the net because the paywall sites know certain LV fanatics will run with it.
The rumors are out in full force. “The 500k NIL price tag. The Janiah will have offseason surgery.”
A lot of players have these offseason procedures so this wouldn’t be nothing new.
But also, I got a good idea who the big is. CKC has hit a home run with her two portal signings in Nya Robertson and Janiah Barker.
The big will be a great fit! People on here still miss out on the common theme which is this system will attract top notch athletes.. they aren’t ever going to sign a 6’6 player just because they have height if that player can’t run, handle the ball in space like Hollingshead, Spearman, Latham, or Barker, and have the ability/range to take 3pt shots with confidence.
Tennessee never was going to sign a post like Okot.
The post they get will be a matchup nightmare for these bigs just as Spearman, Barker, and Latham will be in year 2.
GBO🍊🍊🍊!
I am glad someone was thinking what I was thinking. about Okot, good player but not good fit.

It’s interesting that Skim nor 92 feet didn’t appear to have inside scoop like they’ve had on portal news. Skim usually would post the hint graphic a day or so before it’s announced. Nothing for our two portal pick up’s!
I was thinking the same thing, and I LOVE that! Don’t feed their asses nothing!

Okot would make us a FF contender.

I have no interest in Wolfenbarger at this point other than as simply a depth recruit. Don’t think she’d see the floor much and doesn’t have much eligibility left.

Baby Kitts is a great pickup imo due to her eligibility and potential.
I agree but I believe Okot is not considering the LVs. And Wolfenbarger does not appear to be a fit for the LVs system. Kitts however would be a great fit. GBO.

The portal signings and high school recruiting class w/ the returnees make us a FF contender not Okot.
Okot had 4 points and 11 rebounds against Tennessee this past season.
She doesn’t fit this system

Hmm. She was pretty good in that SC game. Nice alternative to Judd. Thoughts?

i watched her at maryland. really hardworking and steady. plays hard and good shooter. she gets run off the floor though. i think she'd be horrible in kim's system because they really couldn't play her against fast teams

Okot is officially a Gamecock.

Definitely agree Wolfenbarger is a no go. She’d be fine as a depth piece but wouldn’t expect much out of her.

Yeah too slow, great player but not our type. She should go to ND. They need players bad and she’d be a great fit for them.

She (Wolfenbarger) hasn't done much of anything in 3 plus years as a Sec level player. Doubt that she would improve enough to be worth the (money)....

Being reported Judd doesn’t want to decide until mid-may so probably won’t hear anything on her for a while. Wouldn’t be surprised if we moved on from her if we have others interested.

People are saying we are trying to get a player to enter the portal from another team but I couldn’t begin to guess who that would be.

Essence Cody maybe? Strack?

Huge loss for them. I thought she was their glue especially down the stretch. She played hard as heck, bigger than her size and did all the little things.

Oluchi doesn’t have the same kind of physicality.

Yes, Kubek is a significant loss. She really seemed to thrive towards the end of the season (especially in the NCAA Tournament). I don't think that she was happy with the prospective timeshare with Merkle in the post. Maryland also has two redshirt forwards who will be competing for playing time. With only a year of eligibility she might want a bigger and more defined role if she has ambitions of playing as an overseas pro.

She is probably a poor fit for Tennessee, as she isn't quick and doesn't run the floor especially well. Though, other than this past season, she has been an excellent perimeter shooter. My guess is that she goes somewhere where she will get to regularly play 30 minutes a game.
