The OP said “A+ CLOSE”, so I was only referring to that part and not the transfer portal class as a whole. As a whole, yes, I would give it an “A”.Easily an A... we got pretty much the best fit for PG , we got the best available SF, we got a guy down low that hurt us both games & we lost No One. Easily an A no matter who else we get
- Rob Lewis, VQThink things went very well there. Visit has just concluded. Think Tennessee feels very good about where things stand now.
Not sure when we may get 'official news' but think the Vols are in a good spot.
As for Massamba, I do not know how or when we are going to get official word from his camp across the pond, but I think that Tennessee feels very good about the direction that things are going in there at the moment.
He’s not going to be asked to really play PG here, and Barnes has a good track record of getting guys to take care of the ball so that aspect doesn’t bother me too much. You’d like to see the FTA higher, but it’s off considering he attempted 5.2 shots from 2 a game which would rank 2nd on our team this past year, so he does get into the lane, just not fouled a ton when doing it.Abram seems like a solid pickup. But the assist to TO ratio is a concern to me, as is the fact he shot only 1.4 FTs a game playing over 30 minutes a game. We were at times exasperated at Chaz for not driving to the rim and he shot nearly twice that many FTs a game (on a minute less of playing of time pg)
Well we need somebody to play a bit of PG, and respectfully, I don’t want it to be Boswell. He’s not going to be asked to really play PG here, and Barnes has a good track record of getting guys to take care of the ball so that aspect doesn’t bother me too much. I’m sure you’re not alone there, but also not sure we don’t see a lot of improvement from him from his freshman to sophomore year. May not ever be an offensive juggernaut, but as the game slows down for him, his CP3 highlights show really good vision. ImoWell we need somebody to play a bit of PG, and respectfully, I don’t want it to be Boswell.
My worry about that second point is that maybe that means he’s pulling up a bunch instead of getting to the rim. His two point shooting percentage (47%) isn’t sterling
I don’t have a strong opinion on him (would be strange if I did, never seen him play), but I do have some worry. He seems like a solid starter but also seems like a guy we’re counting on to be our third option offensively, and I’d rather he be fourth or fifth. Maybe the French guy develops quickly or Carey is really ready for a consistent role
