I’m sure I’ll be completely wrong, because this kid isn’t bad by any means, but this makes me feel like he will turn into a Mashack type player here.

All defense and barely any offense, which to some I’m sure that’s fine.


Do you think he’s a starter type here or more of a 6th man type role?

He averaged 17.5 ppg at High Point the year prior to joining OU. True combo guard, who can be secondary ball handler as well. So could spell Gillespie at times. Efficient scorer and even got to FT line at a decent rate for a 6’2 guard.

Got less than 25 minutes per game at OU yet still averaged 9.4 ppg. Not a primary scorer but likely would give us consistent double figures per game.

Rice and Miles together would be a straight-up grand slam. That's a go for a final-four type of roster. I trust Coach Barnes regardless of how it shakes out, Ament and Gillespie alone have me beyond excited for next season!

Love Duke Miles but that feels expensive, 43% from 3 and almost 60% from 2, not high volume but that should also be fine here. Also a lockdown defender.

Malik Thomas wouldn’t be bad either. I’m pretty sure San Fran plays really good defense, I could be wrong.

Well damn I was just starting to warm up to Malik Thomas as a good fit here. Portal Season is a rough place for the overly optimistic lol (I'm still recovering from our 15-minute recruitment of Darius Adams, I think he is the missing piece to a FF).

Also, it's hearing things like Miles potentially getting turned down by Virginia with a 1st year coach that don't have me too excited about him as a potential starter...
