Wish we could lock down players before portal closes. We will know after judge rules on 5th year. Guys holding out on commiting due to the loyalty to the they command. But that ruling is after portal closes.. Potentially 3 get eligibilty. With 2 commits and jp coming back. Schollys are slim. No way Barnes tells the 3 there is no spot for them. Another elite 8 and done. Zz has taken this team as far as he can lead. Gainey played for d. Gainey is iffy. Do we want to really ride or die with these guys because a court said. OK...

If not, we definitely can't hold him responsible for telling us this certainly uncertain news when you consider the fact there are some unknown- unknowns floating around that may or may not conflict with the known unknowns we are and aren't necessarily aware of.

If I had to guess, I would guess there is some sort of family health issue/personal issue that some of them are dealing with that are uncertain that they would want to be around family for, and that’s why things sound wishy-washy. I don’t want to put anything out there and start a rumor - I don’t actually know and am just taking a wild guess (I’m probably the least connected member here)

Also something stuck out to me when I interviewed Cade Phillips right after he committed, he mentioned that he's coming to Tennessee to start. He has full belief in his ability to impact the team and everywhere he has been he has been a winner.

Those of you that is saying he is being out recruited when it comes to our commitment from Vandy - I would hold the brakes right there. I would not be surprised to see them both get the same amount of minutes or close to it. Cade is a competitor & wants to contribute to winning & the coaching staff knows this. He will earn his and nor be buried on the bench, I bet all my basketball knowledge on that

Money talks though. Even if 2 people are equally qualified, I'm giving the one who I'm paying more the bigger minutes.

98% of schools I’d agree. But here, minutes aren’t decided until the work has been put in practice. That’s what separates us(imo) and why the chemistry tends to work here more than other schools.

Other coaches may say it but players believe it more from CRB and staff.

Really getting the vibe that rice does not wanna be at Tennessee, onto the next. I hope I’m wrong he’s a stud but I don’t feel optimistic.

I’ve been saying i feel that way too. Keep hearing that he wants to be here and he’s close with Jakobi blah blah blah, but visits a new place out of the blue randomly.
