Dang, feels like we will miss a lot in the portal with bigger names. We just aren’t gonna spend the money on basketball, which sucks. Gotta be the guys with mindsets like Knecht and Lanier who will take a little less for the chance to improve their stock for the future. Give the staff credit for finding those guys and getting them here though, just would be nice to land more than 1 of highly sought after names out there.

If they are really offering double, and he's slowing down to go visit them, I don't see how that's a good thing.

It was slow to begin with. I was told next week at the earliest for commitment.

I wouldn't underestimate the family all being vol fans and proximity to home.

Also product sales will probably fix the gap. Plus my understanding that the grandfather has money so it's not everything.

Me too, but a lot of kids that won’t play in the NBA don’t care about it, and many still think they will play in the NBA.

We offered lots of money too and maybe a better opportunity to showcase/score, but it’s said that’s his major was deciding factor.

The portal and rosters are the epitome of the Volquest ”the situation is fluid” so no one should be bashed for simply passing along what they hear. It changes constantly.

If Basilio passes along something and it changes he sucks. If Basilio doesn’t say anything he has no sources. Same for any other media. What are they supposed to do?

Per TB the staff will be adding the Virginia shooter and the Lincoln Memorial kid (he’ll need to put on weight). Good chance at the Maryland transfer (Ja'Kobi Gillespie from Belmont and Greenville, TN), but he’s very expensive. They’re preparing for the potential loss of Cade or JP. Worried that JP’s injury will be a problem. 6 or 7 will be added from the portal. Unsure if Bishop will be back. Planning to add a big man that can play.

Maybe it's something as simple as he couldn't transfer to UT. It was mentioned earlier something about his transcripts and major. One way or the other, we'll be fine

Tennessee is a football school first and only.

I agree with who ever mentioned our football recruiting and portal recruiting for football absolutely sucks for how much we supposedly spend on it. We don't get any worth a damn outside 1 or 2 guys. we need to put some of that money towards basketball

Not gonna lie, Im a little relieved there are athletes at this level that this is a big factor for.

His future isn’t in basketball. UVA is an incredible school academically I’d bet he does take his education very seriously.
