2025 Transfer Portal Thread

So far I’ve heard French Toast, French Fry and French Mamba. Too predictable imho. Personally I like “The French Connection”.

For those who remember, a couple of commentators for a short time were calling Pons “Air France”, but that didn’t last. Maybe the actual Air France got in touch and told them to cut it out.

Nah, French Knechtion!!

At the Big Orange Caravan tonight, Barnes said Ament waited because he wanted to see rosters on teams and where he could go to win. He said they will be careful with strength and conditioning because his body is still transforming. It sounded like they aren’t just going to try to add a bunch of weight because he’s young, and they don’t want to injure him.

He said Abram said he wanted to be coached hard. Barnes said he told him, “I can do that.” He publicly said Gillespie turned down more money to play at his dream school. They really like their front court and expect good development there. They will have depth and talent there that they haven’t had in a while. He said Carey has the biggest hands he’s ever seen and that Heupel would be jealous of his athleticism. Nothing earth shattering, bit it was some public confirmation. It was a fun night and was comedy hour with Keith, Barnes, Heupel, and Caldwell.

Amaree Abram was ranked #38 overall when we he left Ole Miss.

In front of guys like Jamison Battle, Denver Jones, Steven Ashworth, Jaden Bradley, RJ Luis, Tre Mitchell, etc etc.

Was ranked higher than Clayton as well lol

He was also just a freshman. There’s definitely potential. IMO, I think going to GT and not playing for a whole season was probably part of the reason why he wasn’t as “good” last season, part of me thinks he was getting back into game shape.

That SOB at Georgia Tech did him dirty & tanked his value. Good players around him and I think he’s gonna surprise folks.

Is it weird that I think Dewayne Brown can contribute next year? It’s so crowded but he looks physically ready for the SEC and I like his game a lot
I think Brown is going to be a player, I'm just not sure it will be next year because of the bodies in front of him. I think his sophomore year is when he will start to crack the lineup, assuming we don't pursue a portal kid to replace Okpara.

Looks like one of the Houston bigs

Brown has been committed for a long time. Had a very good HS career. Hopefully he has long productive career with The Big Orange
