2025 Transfer Portal Thread

I know it's controversial, but I am really, really hoping to see CBM on Fumbles' target list tomorrow. He would 200% contribute to winning and be one of the best players on our team next year.

Thus the point of my original post. Uros was our boneheaded/clown thug so he gets forgiveness. CBM played for someone the fans dislike, so he gets none.

Do you remember Uros getting a dumb technical in the Arizona game that hurt us badly, and Barnes calling him out after the game for it. Saying he was tired of Uros's antics? Uros was a big story that whole season for his activity and he usually got extra ref focus that invariably hurt us almost every game. He had all the negatives of CBM with far less positives.

If Barnes wanted CBM here, I'd have no issue with him being here. He has many positives that we could use.

I do remember that. Uros drive me crazy, but there have been 2-3 games since he left where I would have liked to have had him, but he also could've been a liability.

I'm just for whatever Barnes wants. If he doesn't want CBM, I'm fine. If he does, I'm fine. He's earned that trust to construct rosters. His last two roster reconstructions are his finest works.

Plan is to add 2 players. 15 is likely the new number.

As much as I wished we had another player or two this year, I am against us having a 15 man roster. That is just too many sitting on the bench, twiddling their thumbs. 13 is plenty.

Well, I'm thinking guys riding the bench would likely be thought of as being developed for the next year, not just to take up space Of course, the chances of anyone coming back for another year or 50/50 in this era.

I find it highly unlikely the judge in this case is leaking information in regards.

It’s not a coincidence that this is all happening. Same deal is your lawyer telling you the ruling before it happens. Chill

I'm sure he and any of those guys that entered the portal are all for another year, but that doesn't mean they "know something" that we or anyone else don't know.
They are basically campaigning, and good for them. They want another year. I don't think that is likely going to happen, tho. They don't have any real case/argument like the JUCO players did.

Not it's not. There isn't some DA working out a deal with any lawyers in a back room in regards.
Gainey is just signaling he wants to play another year here if the unlikely was to happen.
The is no evidence that he or any other players have any insider information to what the judge in this case will be ruling.
If there is, maybe you could post it.
Incidentally, to my knowledge Gainey isn't suing in this case.

Hell, ZZ threw a ball at Carey in the UT/Vandy game in Knoxville. Didn’t get ejected but certainly could have with a more sensitive ref. Some guys run a little hot, doesn’t make them irredeemable psychopaths

In my opinion, it’s the flopping and fake injuries that make CBM irredeemable. The running hot would otherwise just make him unlikable. But you can kinda take your pick of objectionable behavior with him. He’s the total package.
